The original version of the track was recorded in Marfa, TX, before the band commenced official tracking for 'Shields' in Cape Cod and New York, and was released earlier this month on 'Shields Expanded' and 'Shields B-Sides.' The collections build on their acclaimed 2012 iTunes Album of the Year with exclusive b-sides, demos, and remixes.

'Shields' was released to some of 2012's best reviews, with Pitchfork calling it "magnificently epic" and the NY Times hailing it as "enthralling." The band performed tracks from the album on Colbert, Fallon, Letterman, Leno, Austin City Limits, and Ellen, and played their biggest headlining and international festival shows to date.

A long term fan of Hilary and her way of concocting diverse musical journeys every time she is behind the decks is something we have always loved about her. Known for her downtempo magic, she has gone for a mix that is more uptempo and it truly is fantastic.  She is the go to artist whenever big DJs come to San Francisco to partner up with the likes of Bedouin, Stavroz, Billy Caso, Matthew Dekay or even Satori amongst many others. For those  living on the other side of the atlantic she will be taking part at the Gardens of Babylon event end of July in Germany, so make sure to catch her there along with the other fantastic artists.

Full of good vibes and endless smiles you can certainly feel the positive attitude Hilary gives off when she is behind the decks. Having done mixes for some of the most renown podcasts on Soundcloud it is an absolute pleasure to share this mix with you music gurus!

Life is a pretty unexpected and weird fairy tale. When we first met the guys from @pandhora in Paris back in May and invited them to Armenia and they agreed to come, no one really believed such a thing could actually happen, no matter how sincere all of us were. And then out of nowhere, they came and spent three weeks here, and just like @vikenarman - who is more of a host at Rambalkoshe rather than a guest - they lived and felt and created a special set for us in our studio. Now that several days have passed, it’s becoming more and more believable, although we did live in a fairy tale in those days. Thank you, guys, for writing the soundtrack to that fairy tale.

Pandhora, a French duo, represents a symbiosis of syncopated rhythms and psychedelic melodies. Inspired by 70’s progressive and psychedelic music, they mix deep electronica music with synths and throbbing guitar riffs. Thanks to their experimentiveness and their incredible creativity, Pandhora enable the audience a unique electronic dance music experience. 

The project is the artistic symbiosis of two musicians who wish to bring sounds that occupied their thoughts back alive. Referring to their style as “Deep Psychedelica”, they always seek for new sonorities and therefore often invite other musicians to join them. Their mission is to create an original universe for each of their productions and performances. 

And we are enormously happy they took their credo to another level in their exclusive Psychedelic Vodkarita for Schirmchendrink: it features live guitar & synths. And, for the first time, it also includes live vocals in the intro of this sensational mix. 

Have a sip and taste this dreamy and powerful gem, it is just a true piece of art. We are still astonished.

BE HOME ist ein neues Veranstaltungsformat aus eigenem Hause "Beate Uwe". An jedem ersten und dritten Donnerstag im Monat werden die Tore geöffnet um eine liebliche Reise aus individuellem Klanglandschaften zu kredenzen. Umgarnt von einem stetig wechselnden Mix aus Konzertabend und DJ-Night, beginnt jeder dieser Abende mit einnehmender Livemusik, gefolgt von prickelnden Downtemposets namenhafter DJs mit samt einer beschwingenden Atmosphäre zum wahrhaftigen zu Hause fühlen. Mit am Start waren in jener Nacht die Live Band bzw. das Sänger-Duo ANA & Claudio gefolgt von Kahl & Kæmena, AVEM b2b Arutani, Haunted Water und mir, San Miguel. ♡

Einen riesen Dank & fette Propz gehen an Stefan der mich mit seinen Percussions sowie mit seiner süßen Trompete zart und unaufdringlich begleitete. :)) Unendlich viel Liebe an Jaques und das gesamte Team.. ..und natürlich an all' die wundervollen Seelen welche den Abend mit Ihren Herzen, sowie hüpfenden Wesen zu einem magischen Raum gestalteten. ♥

If you look up the meaning of today’s cocktail name, Woo Woo, in the dictionary, you might think we’re a bit “woo woo”. But, don’t worry, we’re not into any mambo jambo here at Schirmchendrink. We just feel spring is on its way and wanted to serve you some really sweet stuff.

Having established himself as a staple in the Canadian electronic music scene, as one half of “Nature of Music”, Mazi has embarked on a new solo journey called “Alfa State“. With releases under Seven Villas and Sudbeat, collaborations with Tigerskin and Pablo Bolivar, Alfa state has created a footprint for his authentic thought-provoking sound.

For his Woo Woo, Mazi did not stick to one genre and plays songs across the board, softer and harder. Don’t know how you feel about it, but I was catapulted back to my early days in house music while listening to this set…some music just never gets old!!

Their breadth of sound connects deeply with people both in the early evening and at those special moments in the early hours of the morning.
Fluida’s unique live/DJ set continues to set them apart, incorporating the steel pan ‘hang drum’ featured on many of their tracks. This live instrument in the DJ booth offers a unique energy and an immediate connection with the audience.
The pair regularly share their eclectic tastes through radio slots on Bloop London and Ibiza Sonica Radio  and naturally we are proud to have yet another mix to deliver from these lovely gents!

Hello friends! 
We started the summer season on the beautiful rooftop of Kleingarten, Istanbul. It was the grand opening of the year so it was very crowded and super fun to play!

This was our first hybrid set in a loooong time (since 2016 actually) and a challenging experience but in the end it was a rewarding one. We're grateful for everyone who got in the mood with us, danced, and shared joy! 

Many thanks to the original artists who inspired us to play guitar, synths and various samples on top of their wonderful craft.

Bun Dem Riddim is another big international cooperation of Polish producer Marek Bogdanski, better known under the name of Dreadsquad, and artists from all over the world; including Jamaica (Perfect Giddimani, Everton Chambers, Blackout JA, Kojo Neatness, Menny More), UK (YT, Cian Finn), Poland (Kasia Malenda), Germany (Dr Ring Ding), Canada (Marky Lyrical), Austria (Thai Stylee), Italy (Raphael), France (S'kaya) and Portugal (Xibata).

This time, Dreadsquad offers a heavy roots Reggae vibe, recalling the style of The Wailers Band. Using vintage instruments like the Hohner Melodica, the Hohner Clavinet, and the Fender Jazz Bass, and effects like the Roland Space Echo RE-201 and the Fisher SpaceXpander tube spring reverb, reinforce the earthy, yet punchy flair of the vibes.

The 14 vocalists gave each of their versions a stylistically individual treatment, touching subjects from social life, faith and herb to love and soundboy-killling…

14 brand new vocal-tracks + one instrumental version - released digitally by Superfly Studio, followed by a limited 7” vinyl single edition of Everton Chambers’ tune on the A-side and an exclusive dub mix of the Bun Dem Riddim on the B-side, released by Scotch Bonnet Records.
