Kicking off his musical career more than a decade ago as a bass player for Germany’s most notorious Indiepop Act „Jennifer Rostock“, electronic lateral entrant DECKERT joined forces with likeminded producer and DJ „Aaaron“ back in 2017. Their aspiring first collaboration „L.D.O.E.“ had an unexpected but massive impact on dancefloors all over the globe, manifesting a place for both artists in the ensemble of Connected, the label run by UK’s legendary Stereo MCs.

DECKERT’s sound is influenced by a broad variety of widespread genres combined with years of field trips into the concrete heart of Techno Berlin, ultimately resulting in the melody infused interpretation of contemporary percussive house soundscapes, mostly accompanied by a signature bass guitar. His ongoing collaborations with Aaaron released widely acclaimed EPs on labels such as MoBlack, Chapter 24, Connected and Scatcity, escorted by different Remixes and Solo EPs.

Furthermore the multi instrument musician is one third of the electronic Liveact DEORBITING with a steady output on Oliver Koletzki’s scenefamous label Stil vor Talent.

His diverse DJ-sets offer a broad variety in between organic, indie and melodic ascendents, already having spread fancy footworks over dancefloors in Tokyo, Istanbul and Tulum.

“An unseen balance between light and darkness”

Scattering for many years between different underground music genres, this frequency collided with the techno soundscape in 2016, creating an outburst of energy.

Equipped with a rumbling, driving, and unseen dedication to his passion, his journey began...

After he took the Belgian MUSICASA producer’s education, as a first step to pursuing his dream, he quickly released EP's and remixes on melodic techno labels such as SMR Underground, Melodia Records, Tanzgemeinschaft, and Papaya music.

After releasing and performing on various stages, and through the process of producing and self-awareness, he felt the melodic techno genre wasn’t the perfect reflection of what inspired and drove him.

In 2022 he had a change of heart as he started focusing more on
underground hypnotic, atmospheric and ambient techno, reaching for that inner spirit and dynamic balance. This resulted in releases on some of the biggest labels in the hypnotic scene like DORIAN, The Gods Planet, BAHN, Khoros, Informa, Space Textures, Arcadia,... with many more on the way.

Host of the podcast ‘Adjust (BE) Invites’ (2020-2023), he invited numerous DJ’s and Producers to make a signature guest mix, where the DJ/producer is the key element.

For over 130 episodes spreading over 3 years and reaching new listeners each month, the fanbase and mutual respect between colleagues kept growing daily.

In 2023 he started a new and hypnotic/deep-techno-exclusive podcast called ‘Andhera’, which translates to ‘darkness’ in Sanskrit. With every Full Moon or Solar Eclipse, a talented and highly respected DJ/producer creates a unique story.

An artist, hand-picked by himself, whom he highly admires, respects and who empowers and understands techno’s dark, ambient and emotional side.⁠

His style of playing and producing can be described as a perfectly, yet delicate, carved out balance between light and darkness, melancholic and emotionally charged. Cinematic sounds, rich and full of atmospheres, super evocative soundscapes with an inexplicable soul that can only be grasped when fully immersed into it.
