After almost four years, the new album is finally finished. To be honest, I never planned it. It came about in stages. Sometimes haltingly, sometimes smoothly, and sometimes not at all. In the end, though, I can say that it's the most personal of all my previous albums.

Album Release 'The Myth of Tarae'

Anton Dhouran is Paris-based a young composer, musician and DJ, 23 years young and already signed with several labels such as Diynamic music, Einmusika, Chapter 24 and Manual music. 

Born into a family of movie-makers and having grown up dreaming of writing music for film, the 23-year old has turned his hand to making cinematic dance tracks.

Dhouran’s first full-length LP, 'The Myth of Tarae', is typically epic in its breadth and narrative, effortlessly melding the combination of electronic, instrumental and cinematic styles for which he has become known. 
In keeping with the cinematographic thrust of the work, it is accompanied by a short film which matches the music in its scope and ambition.  

The film, which scores the album’s powerful title track, is a project overseen by Dhouran with the aim of raising awareness of the current plight of the environment.  Both music and film share an apocalyptic, haunting but ultimately uplifting quality. 

True to Chapter 24’s ‘stories in sound’ ethos, the ten-track LP is fuelled by a desire to take listeners on a journey.

HMWL Premiere: Anton Dhouran - A Kind Of Light

The pampa, filled with enigmatic lines and geoglyphs known as Nazca, gives name to this record label.

Nazca Records was created to collect the music that Viracochas (beings of other worlds), shared with the ancient Nazca people, known for their love for music, dance and nature.

These recordings represent the music that was once played in another time and that will be played again in the future…They are the memories of the future.

Each vinyl and recording tells a story of the memories from each ceremony that took place in the Pampa Colorada, from music that was played, and of the figures and lines that the Nazcas used to show their gratitude to the Viracochas.
Maybe you’re wondering how its possible or how we were able to capture those recordings in Nazca Records to then press to vinyl.

It has been discovered that if an intelligent or exotic species wanted to connect to others, they would use radio signals as they can travel any distance and require very little energy to send.
The logical wave frequency to communicate would be 1420 Megahertz, which is the frequency irradiated by the neutral hydrogen, when its atoms interact between each other.

Based on this info and knowing that hydrogen is the most abundant element in space, and after a lot of tries, in the end we were finally able to make the first contact with the Viracochas!

This third vinyl contains recordings of the Viracocha Thodoris Triantafillou. A disc, a journey, a history, a contact narrated along 2 tracks and completed by the remix of one of the most famous Viracochas remembered Love Over Entropy.

Swiss label Bunte Kuh hit release number eight, this time turning to Jean Caillou, who offers up the stunning Hier EP, featuring four original works alongside guest remixes from Debal Sommer and Thom Nagy & Dario Rohrbach.

The title track kicks off the collection easing you into a deep oceanic groove that paves the way for emotive synth swells and a hypnotic melodic top line. ’Trigger’ takes things a little harder with a stomping drum pattern and once again warming pads, this time around accompanied by a muffled and at times glitchy vocal sample.

‘Pulsar’ truly flips the EP on its head with an infectious swung percussion part and pulsating bass line that is impossible not to move to. ’The Road’ screams sunset if nothing else, more reverb soaked pads comfort you as the original works come to an end and the reworks enter.

Thom Nagy & Dario Rohrbach capitalise on the melodic base provided by Jean, adding carefully placed percussion that develop into a real mover of a production. Debal Sommer rounds of the experience on an underground tip, darkening the mood of the title track with an underground groove and emphatic build up.
