Slowly building in typical “Journey” style with Victorian vocalist ‘Alverie’ perfectly complimenting the instrumental, this groover is a must for open air gatherings this season. On remix duties is Tristan Case & TAYA. Hailing from Sydney and the Hinterlands in Australia respectively, both producers bring their own flavour to the original On the back of a Number 1 overall release on Beatport and 6 top ten single in the past 12 months, Tristan has already captured the hearts of a lot of listeners with his smooth and spacial production and doesn’t hold back with momentum on his remix. TAYA on the other hand whose discography is already quite extensive with releases and support from some of the biggest artists in the world, showcases why he is one of the more in demand producers in country with a classy remix that really encapsulate his underground roots.

Mia Mendi come correct on their own hydera label with a new single that features remixes from Reset Robot and Diode Eins.

The original Porcelain Sol is a fresh cut with skippy and broken drum programming and a haunting vocal that lifts you off the dance floor. Add in the floaty leads and you have a stylish yet emotive tune. The Reset Robot interpretation brings even more warm, lush harmonies and dreamy melodies, to make for a vast and atmospheric track full of house soul. Diode Eins’ remix is a dark and broody version with grand bass and driving drums, but still plenty of the eerie melodic magic up top.

Release Info: 
The final act unfolds. Chapter 24 serves up a powerful 13 track album that finds a wealth of originals from Masaya’s debut, Picking Up The Pieces, getting the Editions treatment by top artists including Ripperton, Petar Dundov, Patrice Baumel, Johannes Brecht and many more. They make for essential listening. 

First out of the bag, Kurt Baggaley flips Walking Dad into a deep spine tingling number that will infuse and fill the dance floor with warmth and soul. Love over Entropy’s take on Haumea is deep but more driving, with slick synth modulations colouring the grooves, then Swiss master Ripperton builds lots of tension with his brooding techno remix of Flow of Tears. 

As well as a starry and cosmic Edition from Nhar, a tense and edgy take from Neil Flynn and a melodically excellent variation from Croatian Petar Dundov, the album includes a slow and haunting rework from David Durango and a skittish, broken beat kicker from Patlac.

The final third of the collection hones in on simmering techno from Johannes Brecht, a loose house roller from VVerses and masterfully seductive and steamy tech house from Patrice Baumel. Closing things out in fitting style are a rumbling epic from Malbetrieb and THC, and Paul Nolan’s delicate take on Time Goes Fast.

These works all breathe plenty of new life into the still standout originals from the Swiss Chilean artist and are sure to do plenty of damage on the dancefloor this summer. The 24th Chapter is at last revealed in full.

Masaya - Picking Up The Pieces {The Editions)

PREMIERE: Masaya - Innocence (Nhar Remix) [Chapter 24 Records]

In the height of the northern hemisphere summer, Andre Sobota turned up the volume with his outstanding "Unmute" EP. A regular on Proton and Particles, Sobota's work is now revisited courtesy of remix from a quartet of Australian, Argentinean and Mexican talents.

Australian artists, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle have ridden the crest of a sonic wave in recent months with their GMJ and Matter soubriquets. Highly accomplished individually, each has performed across their native Australia and internationally at a variety of clubs and festivals, not least at the globally renowned "Rainbow Serpent Festival". Both regulars on Proton Music with their individual work that includes the recent "Sovereign Reality" and "We Are Dust" offerings, their combined work has seen May 2016's "Superposition" and June 2017's "Osmosis" demonstrate the duo's rare ability to craft a sparkling underground sound that is as unique as it is impressive. A December 2016 remix of Pete K is now followed by a second, in the shape of Sobota's title track. With a strong rhythmic narrative, the GMJ and Matter remix is replete with additional production material as the shimmering pads of the original are gently revealed alongside a floor-shaking groove and emotive melody. Building effortlessly the intelligent use of original components and striking new motifs, provide an epic offering that has enough class to attend any royal garden party.

From the sprawling Argentinean metropolis that is, Buenos Aries, Nicolás Rada is a man with a rich musical heritage to his name. An accomplished pianist and percussionist, his forays into dance music production have been highly impressive, influenced as he is by the sounds of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Nick Warren. A regular on the Balkan Connection family, over a century of production credits can be found against the main label and the 'South American' variant. Landmarked by 2015's debut full-length "Air Ports" album for BCSA, Rada has gone on to see his work featured on Superordinate, Soundteller and One Of A Kind. August 2017's twin-track "Sheremetyevo" EP has been a notable highlight for Particles as Nicolás Rada now debuts on Proton Music with his remix of "Unmute". Building in elegant fashion, a deep and dramatic bass note accompanies a strong kick and evolving percussive framework, before a muted arpeggio filters into aural view alongside textured pads. Reworking Sobota's original components in clever fashion, the sounds of the original resonate in listener consciousness as a raft of new material finds its way into the third movement in pulsating fashion.

Owner of Hookah Records and a range of live label showcases that have featured the likes of Kastis Torrau and Guy Mantzur, Hot TuneiK is a force to be reckoned with; the Mexican producer creating a plethora of production material that found itself featured on leading underground imprints. Thus, work for 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection and Dopamine Music are testament to an enduring sound that first debuted on House Tribe Records in 2012. An appearance on the "Spring Particles 2016" compilation showcased impressive original work and a trio of remixes now pave the way for a Proton debut. Taking a typically groove-laden approach to his interpretation of "Departure", the Hot TuneiK remix is wonderfully redolent in the shimmering melodic themes of Sobota's original as they rise and fall, accompanied by strong kick and rich percussive layers. Introducing a host of new melodic elements at the mid-point breakdown, Hot TuneiK's skill is to rework them into a seamless bend of original parts and additional production material that evolves elegantly into the third movement.

A trio of new remixes from GMJ and Matter, Nicolás Rada and Hot TuneiK have turned the volume on Andre Sobota's "Unmute" all the way to 11.
