Chanteclair is the minimalist disco child of Toronto-based artist Katie Kotler. She co-parents this project with Piera Savage (who makes it sing) and Nick Wong (who pushes its buttons). Their shows have been described “like a Montreal loft party circa 2005.” Their record Dance Madness was voted Silent Shout’s 19th best release of 2013 and a third album is slated for 2020.

DJs Hobo & Sweet Cheeks are Pawel Skorupski and Jose Palacios, founders of Kitchen Party. A wildly successful monthly dance party held in Ottawa, Canada.

The making and unmaking of the tempo. DJ Ove van Soren brings a unique refreshing sound to the Ottawa scene, having played deep house, minimal and lounge for over 10 years. To say he has a refined taste would be an understatement. As part of a Montreal-based elite of fine artists, he is of course inspired by the likes of Fred Everything, Eloi Brunelle and Vincent Lemieux. The minimal intello and natural touch of percussion, trumpet and strings is due in part to European influences from Tim Green, Gramatik and Matt Hughes.
