Nahim Bendjilali aka Nems-B is a DJ and producer based in Marseille, and manager of the famous Phonons podcast series. He's been mixing for over twenty years, and you can tell from the subtlety and precision of his sets, as much as from the impeccable selection of his tracks. As a producer, he's had some great releases on prestigious labels such as On Board Music and Oslated, and he's also included a wonderful track on our brand new compilation ACCENTVA008! 
We're delighted to welcome him here today for the month of May, in a set that's precisely groovy, subtle and minimalist, that's both deep and progressive, powerful and haunting. Nems-B offers us here what only excellent DJs know how to do: constantly create the illusion of a third unreleased track and yet, like a retinal persistence, this impression of 'deja vu' without being able to easily define the reference tracks. Accents Podcast Series #021 - NEMS- B

Somewhere in the south of France hides a festive oasis that, isolated from the world, comes to life every single year under the warm June sun. Organized since 2016 by Melifera Records, the aim of La Vallée Électrique festival is to bring together a community of artists and cultural stakeholders. For a weekend, electronic music & projections enhance the song of cicadas and the dancers the movements of nature in perfect harmony. An intimate experience in the heart of La Drôme Provençale, bringing together more than 600 electronic music enthusiasts from all over Europe for a timeless moment of nature, music, and discovery.

The 2024 edition of this festival will take place from 14 to 16 June.

This year, the line-up includes exclusive encounters with Feral & Ntogn, figureheads of Italian label Hypnus, and German duo Dycide & MTRL, representing IO Records. Clarence Rise and Café de la Jungle will also be on board, alongside some of France's finest electronic talents: Hewan Aman, Tauceti, Sindh, and many more. Throughout the day, live music and exclusive performances will take centre stage, with two showcases from rdg tribe and Polën, featuring artists such as Timnah, F-On and Javier Salazar.

An immersive, eco-designed scenography frames the event, supported by interactive installations and creative workshops to create a seamless fusion between Human, nature and technology. The project is a dream world, a utopia.

This is what Shani and Heliopora, one of the organizers of the festival, said about the mix: 
“The aim of this podcast is to take you through the different vibes of the La Vallée Électrique 2024 festival. In fact, the tracklist on this recording represents the timetable. We've carefully chosen a track from each artist to reflect the atmosphere of their set, and for those who don't produce their own music, we've selected tracks that would fit in perfectly with their forthcoming performance.”

Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works.
Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work. 
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJ set, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.

Ronny Pinazza (@ronny_pinazza) tries to convey the feeling of the infinite timelessness of the soul of nature with music in an understandable language. His DJ sets are always driving, ritualistic. Natural sounds and hypnotic melodies allow the listener to reach another state of consciousness. His productions are experimental, unorthodox. Hypnotic rhythms and driving beats characterize his tracks, always filled with natural sounds. The listener is transported in a space that seems to exist between the stars. Deep in his heart he believes in infinity and that time and space are only imaginations. His goal is to express these inner feelings with music, so in 2021 he set out to develop his musical language. Ronny Pinazza has released 2 EPs on Cellar Door records, EP and single on MDivision Group Records. Collaborated on VAs on Indefinite Pitch, Initiate Records, Free Palestine Charity VA, Linee Sonore. For this 60th episode, we invited the talented producer Caldera who enlights us with a very beautiful and deep mix.
If you don't know him yet; since 2012, Caldera has been creating a unique and personal blend of Techno and Bass music with a love for detail and a dedicated sounddesign that immerses listeners into imaginary worlds.
His experiments with drums and rhythms result in grooves that explore a deeper side of dance music while leaving bpm and genre restrictions behind.
Caldera's creations have found a home on labels such as Berlin's Nummer Music, Chicago's Kimochi Sound and Bristol's Pressure Dome while his Loop LF moniker has previously been a mainstay on London based Well Steet Records.
Right now we're eagerly waiting for his upcoming release on @melifera_records.

When we asked the artist for a few words about the mix he told us, that the inspiration for it stemmed from a preference for slower, more meditative transitions and a deliberate, gradual increase in intensity.
The mix aims to evoke a sense of transitioning from the somber winter into the hopeful beginnings of spring, reflecting a personal journey from adversity towards renewal and positivity.
