Here are some tracks I love put together in a playlist for you to enjoy in Lebanon. There's a bit of everything - synth-pop, darkwave, post-punk, electro-rock and indie rock, but making trip playlists, I always like mixing it up. 

There are some tracks from Lebanese-based artists as well, just to gte in the mood.

They say you can’t go home again, but for Matt Messore it took returning to his hometown of Cassadaga, Florida to discover a new path forward. After traveling across the country and time spent in his former group, Dear Tracks, Messore indulged his DIY bedroom pop leanings working as Cathedral Bells.

The aptly titled “Homebody” served as the project’s first offering introducing a sprawling, whirring world of shoegaze/dream-pop atmospheres extending far beyond its humble origins. That track is now set to open side B of Cathedral Bells’ debut, self-titled EP which will see release on cassette and digitally via Good Eye Records.

The EP is preceded by singles “Cemetery Surf” and “A Passing Phase” drawing initial praise from tastemakers including Indie Shuffle who said; “I think Cathedral Bells have struck the perfect balance of throwback synth work, melodic progression and overall shoegazey vibes. The result works in the 80s, the 90s, the naughties and in 2018. And that’s quite good coverage, all things considered.”

"Cathedral Bells" is out now and is the twelfth release from Good Eye Records.

Deep and punchy drums lay the foundation for partner in crime Nikoss's jazzy chords to flourish. We love the cheeky ATCQ lead line that flows over this track. Geheimnis records is officially a well known supporter of the Greek underground scene, both in its infamous past and most definitely in its promising future. In the same vein, it is with great pride that the first, self-titled LP of the Athenian, post punk trio, "Data Fragments" will be released through our label. 
Founded in 2017, Data Fragments are Stathis Leontiadis, widely known as Doric (Human Puppets, Exetix), a mastermind of analogue synthesizers, now on the bass, Panagiotis Dedepsidis (Komodia Thanatou) on vocals and ingenious, new wave guitars, previously widely praised on Komodia Thanatou's self titled LP and Panos Dimopoulos (Komodia Thanatou) one of today's most charismatic bass players, on a different, more avant-garde role on synthesizers. The three produced a crystal clear, post punk chronicle, full of blatant manifestos and nostalgia, embraced by nihilistic, insurgent lyrics creating a record not only worthy of its new wave forefathers but a stimuli to all contemporary musicians.
