Dreams is the latest release from sultry songstress Honesty.  Lyrically, it may be considered one of the most motivational songs of 2020.  It helps women in particular to realize the importance of love and life as well as every wasteful moment spent contemplating over a love that may or may not actually be there.  The opening vocals take you back to a time when artists such as Anita Baker and Phyllis Hyman were known for showcasing the deeper and more resonant qualities that are often so surprising to hear within female arrangements. Honesty began her professional music career by dancing and playing in the rafters of the Florida A&M University stadium as a member of the famed Marching 100.  And while she had proven that she had the chops to reach FAMU’s grueling performance demands, many were unaware that she was also, secretly, a songstress and songwriter.  But by her second or third year in college, she had formed a band that had become highly requested in the moss-covered streets of Tallahassee, Florida.
 
Much as changed since those early days at FAMU.  But one of the most remarkable progressions is how Honesty’s talent has only grown more impressive over the years.  Likewise, her resume today stretches across every facet of entertainment imaginable.  From stage plays to modeling to being the frontwoman to her band and singing background  for more artists than there is time to list, Honesty has finally reached a performance pinnacle built around the unequalled sound that she has become known for.   Some have described her sweet alto tone as one that reverberates with the resonant vibrato of Anita Baker and Phyllis Hyman, while almost effortlessly achieving the depth defying peaks of a Lauryn Hill or Erykah Badu.
