Who is it wears the ball and chain? 
Take these shackles from my neck 
That I might breathe again 

A storm is raging, 
The ceiling drips with rain 
But summer breaks through 
With lightning bolts and hurricanes 

Now, on the pastures, 
The prairies, and the plains 
Sunlight bathes the lowing cows 
And dries the window panes 

"It's one or the other," 
Old man leans upon his sugar cane 
He says, "Pour us another round 
Of lightning bolts and hurricanes" 

The green buds swellin' 
In the merry month of May 
Rough winds shake my darling, true 
But life teems from decay 

These violent delights 
Must end with violent pangs

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
I feel slightly embarrassed and quite humbled when I receive such graceful messages of thanks from artists whose work I have re-posted - after-all, I am the one who is so inspired by the discovery of your brilliant music!!!

Since my heart op in Jan2021, I have had to deal with taking quite a lot of meds which have interrupted my design work - that and moving to Germany in 2020 - and back in 2021 (due to Covid my business plans stalled!) - SO, slowly getting it together…. hang tight!😊

Now, just behind this drawn curtain, beyond this static veil, I know you are there. Like beacons of unfiltered humanity your bravest dreams are real and they reach me even in the most remote and ancient ocean abyss. They are magic. Oh, magnificent invisible gods I’ve been trying to write a poem for you. 

These recordings can be divided into three (Four if you count cover versions of my songs by other SC artists) unfit categories; Butterflies songs, Waltz Bros. Songs and Pall of a Past World songs. Butterflies were a three and four piece band of which I was a member. The band released two albums and several singles 
during it’s run in the mid to late nineties. The Waltz Bros. Is my most current project consisting of myself and Matt Wilson with occasional help from friends. Pall of a Past World consist of things that I’ve done that don’t fit into either of those titles.
