After spending most of the decade working in the studio with Oliver Ho alias Broken English Club as Zov Zov, the West London-based producer reignites the flame of true-school horror electronics with five cuts heaving us into a furnace of post-apocalyptic machine talk by the scruff of the neck, complimented by a remix from Broken English Club.

"AMBIDEXTROUS. The electro-plasticky sculptural sonic opera that invites you in & out & in again. Presented in first-person, at other times in third but ALWAYS out-of-body. Like a beat up stroboscope slamming into a Walt Disney number, raggedy abstracted cartoonish characters are pumped, plumped & squashed into the adhoc scenery. A tree is now a paint tube or maybe a shoe horn but only because it has to be until it isn't, or maybe it never will be for you. Very filmy, sometimes flimsy and on occassion chunky; presenting to you, actual variety. Definitely not a tidy digital affair...you can hear the tape bias deep breathing & hasty splices popping with an immediacy that does not waste time to tinker. Shattered bronze becomes the glue, the glue becomes your dinner companion as well as the plate & window seat. Not unlike a Goldilocks and the Three Bears scenario, depending on your moody attention span, you may find certain characteristics to be too something or not enough something but perhaps just right. Open for interpretation & again for re-interpretation - this monument gives what you take."

PREMIERE: Fashion Flesh - Edging (SONS OF TRADERS RECORDS)

Originally released in 2002, “Harnessed the Storm” was conceived as the opening chapter of the legendary seven Storms – a series of seven albums created within a single year and released via several labels under different names. “Harnessed the Storm” was the sole one in the series credited under the main Drexciya project.
The album, which is considered to be one of the pair's darkest, was produced in a time of creative outbreak and emo- tional turbulence. The duo's confidence was at a peak, new techniques revolutionized musical production, but the duo also had to face Stinson's severe health issues. This led to a radical shift of pace in producing and releasing music. For the Detroit pair it was time to move on from their ground-breaking past. It was time for some shape shifting and wave jumping to occur, in Drexciya’s terms.
This is reflected two-folds on the ten cuts of “Harnessed the Storm”. With seven different album projects in the pipeline, Stinson and Donald were able to give the atmospheres and structures of each individual work a more distinct focus, resulting in longer pieces and more defined moods. “Harnessed the Storm” integrated classic Drexciyan dance floor moments like “Under Sea Disturbances” and “Digital Tsunami”, brooding experiments like “Dr. Blowfins' Black Storm Stabilizing Spheres” and “Aquatic Cataclysm” which rank with the most abstract, alien and stark in their catalogue, and a few choice cuts of wave-cruising beauty into a cohesive whole – the disparate elements fused by an all-permeating sonic dread.
“Harnessed the Storm” is as much the uncanny silence before the storm - looming in the unknown, as the storm itself, making this album at once an incredibly focused sound production, as well as a journey of highest emotional complexity.
Another masterful lesson in futurist dance music from one of its strongest forces.

Based on home-generated samples, which he is happy to share when he is online (see LSB packsample), as a producer, deejay, or live performer, LSB's music is a sound-design practice, with a gourmet taste. Born in France, living in Belgium, LSB produces a bewitching downtempo industrial slash breaks music. 

Through different artists, including the compilations Vastedub Vol1 & 2 with Air LQD, Theo Muller, Antoine 80, Black Zone Myth Chant, Gil.barte or Warzou, the cassette label he founded in 2015, now occupies an important place in the electronic-industrial cassette scene, and has been a great influence for us. It is a great pleasure to announce that this record will be released in October 2022.

Marguerite Records is enthusiast to announce its first release scheduled for 2021: 'MRG010', a Various Artist compilation celebrating the label’s tenth output. A side opens up with 'My unknown friend' by the charming Diana Berti, a blue starry-eyed minimal synth jam, followed up by Mayo’s slo-mo acid affair 'SloMos'. A3 is 'Miss your stupid face', a crunchy, metallic downbeat cut by SYNTETYK boss Dzuma, and what a better way to follow such delight than a snake charming rollercoaster by Exhausted Modern? Closing up the first side is 'Same shit fail (shame)', a mesmerizing slow tempo deep track by Lyon’s Big Science head honcho Warzou. Flip side is unwrapped by 'Weaklink' a Lliasons Dangerousesque floorfiller from Lost Soul Enterprises boss R Gamble, while 'Alpha' on B2 marks the return of Bianco Negativo on their label with a dreamy minimal synth // ambient techno hybrid. Sitting on B3 is the high tension cinematic EBM roller 'Duty-bound majority' by Colombian artist Filmmaker; B4 switches the vibe and turns full speed with a mutant electro excursion by LIES affiliated Chupacabras.
