Brooklyn-based contemporary classical music composer <a href="http://rebeccabrandt.bandcamp.com" target="_blank">Rebecca Brandt</a> released her debut album <em>Numbers & Shapes</em> in 2012 and made it to the top 25 Best New Age Albums in the 2013 Grammy’s. And today Green Village  - a record label set up by the infamous <a href="http://g.reenvillain.com/" target="_blank">Green Villain</a> space in New Jersey - makes its debut with <em>Numbers & Shapes: Revisited</em>, featuring 14 remixes of the album from artists like Starkey, Policy, Dakini9, Liondub, Rabit and more.

Formerly known as Al Tourettes, London-based producer Alec Storey unveiled his new project as Second Storey with 2013’s ‘Margosa Heights’ EP. Now he drops ‘Shaman Champagne’, the lead single from ‘Double Divide’, his forthcoming debut LP due for release this October on Houndstooth, the esteemed label from London nightclub fabric, which is A&Red by Electronic Explorations curator Rob Booth.

Inhabiting a space full of contradictions, paradoxes and idiosyncrasies, Storey produces music that runs the gamut from multi-part suites of hefty sound design to club-shaking yet brainy dance epics for labels like Apple Pips, Aus and many more. This new project is at the crossroads; vastly complex and intricately arranged, “Shaman Champagne” is an adventurous club tune crafted by a truly inspired mind, showing off his bass roots as well as his psychedelically inspired musical abilities.

On the heels of his successful The Power And The Glory LP, Perc Trax label boss Perc (@perc) offers up a wonderfully heavy, pummelling remix, followed by a bouncy dancefloor roller from Aden, who is rumoured to be the Ultramajic label’s A&R, Machinedrum (@machinedrum).

This 12" is cut & mastered by Matt Colton, and limited to 500 copies.

Toddla T comes absolutely busting out of the traps for his very first single for Ninja Tune/Girls Music. On a recent trip to Jamaica to collaborate with Major Lazer, Mr T found himself alone in the legendary Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston. Who should wonder in but the one-and-only Wayne Marshall who asked Toddla to play him some rhythms. As soon as he heard the beat which would become “Sky Surfing” he told the Sheffield whizz kid to hit RECORD.

The result is the hyperactive club smasher “Sky Surfing,” which runs through a million styles from dancehall to jump up hip hop to cheesy rave and makes them all sound as fresh, as squelchy and as downright fun as they ever have. Marshall himself sounds utterly revitalised by this genre-crusher, chatting and singing with equal ease and thoroughly enjoying this “JA-UK connect.” A blast of good time energy summed up in its title, “Sky Surfing” is set to go stratospheric.
