Lead track "Right Here Right Now" pays testament to Jamie George's fun, uplifting and always catchy sound, with track "Fifty Fifty" making way for a more soulful and slightly deeper approach, rounded off with the grittier underground infused track "The Limit". With production from Night Drugs, Cloaka and long-time collaborator Roska, this EP roams across the board, while still maintaining Jamie George's unique British soulful style that has continued to gain him support across the full spectrum of the music industry.

Israel’s hottest export follow up excellent EPs on Hivern and I’m A Cliché with a 3-tracker for the global psychedelic cult of Multi Culti.

Tel Aviv’s Red Axes are one of the most exciting new acts in dance music, with rich sound that is musical, deep, trippy and organic, while remaining precise and lethally effective in the club. The range in their sound is impressive, their talent unmistakeable. They are one of our favourite artists of the year, and this latest record is one of their best yet.

Lead track 'Waiting for a Surprise’ builds around a mid-tempo disco bassline, with tough percussion, and rugged synth stabs, but it’s the eerie and unique sounding vocals of Brazilian collaborator Abrao that bring everything together. This one is a guaranteed bomb for building up, tearing down, peak time or chilling out… an outstanding track in every sense, the kind that force trainspotters to the DJ booth to discover what’s playing. Next up, ‘Hope’ kicks off with resonant, delayed toms, adding a haunting howl and synths before dropping into a wild, clanging, carnivalesque frenzy. It’s understated, but advanced, with an interesting arrangement that really opens up in the second half. Finally, 'The Metal Bender’ slows the tempo but ups the vibe into an elated, slow-burning space-disco anthem. Fantastic stuff!

Melbourne’s Kris Baha, fresh from launching his Power Station imprint, offers a stripped down remix of ‘Waiting for a Surprise,’ with a heavy, industrial-influenced groove that wanders into the deep, dark end of party strasse.

The Bicep boys are absolutely smashing it at the moment.

Their last release on Aus included 'Just' and the spacey banger has been smashed on pretty much every soundsystem around the globe.

For their next release they return to their own Feel My Bicep imprint, alongside fellow Northern Irishman Hammer, for a rework of that very same banger. The 'Go' (Flanger mix) is a different edit of the track that's been causing a stir (born in the same studio session as 'Just' believe it or not) and we've got the premiere.

Shift Work (@shiftworking) are an electronic duo who have previously released on JD Twitch’s Glasgow label Optimo Music. They debut on Houndstooth with ‘Document II’, an EP developed from live jams on outboard analogue gear. ‘Abandoned Hands’ is lean and raw, an angular bassline and indecipherable vox punctuating the relentless 4/4 kick drum and pattering percussion. ‘SBFM’ is fuller-bodied, with the modulating bassline taking centre stage, draped in loose synths and topped with a deadpan vocal refrain.

Shift Work invited remixes from their associates, and the results are impressive, with DVA Damas (@dvadamasdvadamas) dialling down the tempo and stripping back ‘Abandoned Hands’ further still, whilst Factory Floor (@factory-floor) return to remix duty on Houndstooth with a typically subtle yet infectious building take on 'SBFM'.

As a part of Bristol's Young Echo collective, Ishan Sound has helped sculpt an array of music that gleefully exists on the more experimental edges of music, but his solo output under the Ishan Sound name has quite a specific and direct intention. Piled full of low end then riddled with interesting melodies and chunky percussive elements his music belongs in dark rooms, played loud on muscled soundsystems that can replicate the dense sense of dread that he writes and captures. With an upcoming appearance here at the Outlook Festival launch party on the 11th March we hooked up to discuss his background and the genesis of his dubstep influenced music (some of which you can most likely hear in this mixtape he's kindly put together for us).

Ishan Sound - FABRICLIVE x Outlook Festival Mix

Born and raised in Himeji, Japan it was in Berlin that Hito lay down her roots as a DJ. With the city offering her the optimal situation to become fully immersed in the dark and deep realms of techno that backbone her sound with it's almost infinite supply of record shops, clubs and peers. During her time there she impressed her sound on the genre's most pioneering figureheads Richie Hawtin who went onto to make her resident at his iconic Ibiza party session Enter where Hito regularly commands control of the Sake bar blending the heritage of her birthland with the music scene she is now fully engaged in. 

It's her association with Hawtin that is bringing her to Farringdon at the end of the month where she'll be testing out the technological experimenter's PLAYDifferently mixer, still shrouded in secrecy this event will be the first time that we will witness the equipment's sound and impact on DJs performances. 

Here Hito has laid down one of her infamous all vinyl mixes, full of off kilter elements bolstered by her upfront beats that we can expect to experience this Easter weekend.

Joe Ford - FABRICLIVE x Shogun 100 Mix

Andy Cato and Tom Findlay aka Groove Armada are the next to mix Fabriclive 87, due for release on 20th May.

Groove Armada, are rooted in dance music’s seminal movements, with Andy Cato taking in Castlemorton and the free party scene, and Tom Findlay regularly attending the Hacienda during his formative university days in Manchester.  FABRICLIVE 87 represents the kind of house music – and importantly party music – that Groove Armada might drop in a typical Room 1 set, on a night where the vibes of the dancefloor align perfectly with the music of the DJ.

Groove Armada says “It’s in Room 3 that we effectively wrote Superstylin’, or at least the idea for that track took serious shape. They were magical times, really. It’s been amazing returning to the club, a sense of coming home. A lot of the people involved when we first played there are still involved, so it felt easy to come back, it’s an overused description but fabric is family.”

We have an Exclusive Mini-Mix, recorded live in Barcelona in 2013, from them today to celebrate the release. "It was in Barca, the night of their annual 'fire party' where its anything goes on the beach followed a night session in the old port area.
