Ezines are excited to share the first preview of ‘Dissolve’, the lead single from their upcoming Necessity EP, releasing on Vertigo. The long-awaited project marks the duo’s first full-length EP on the label.

Ezines have been quietly building the EP across the year, and ‘Dissolve’ stands as one of the earliest foundations of the project. Originally written in Leeds last year with Alex Greaves, built around heavy ARP 2600 work. The track has since been tested across both European and Australian summers, refined through live play and constant evolution.

At seven minutes, ‘Dissolve’ pulls listeners into its own glittering and slightly warped world built around visceral, exploratory, and driven by relentless percussive energy. The single arrives December 5th, ahead of the EP’s full digital and vinyl release in early 2026.

Maltitz (SXDNS424) is back on Midnight Operators with "Balearic Dreamdance," a sultry, six-track excursion into synthesised atmosphere. The EP maps a deliberate descent from shimmering, horizon-line melodies into the grounded, rhythmic density of a night not yet ended, breathing with a warm, tape-saturated humidity, weaving dub-inflected shadows into its sunlit origins. This is the sound of geography influencing groove – a passport stamp from a place where the air feels thick with memory, and the beat serves as the only reliable compass, guiding you from open-air reverie into the collective, moving dark. Selina’s collaboration on the trippy and energetic “Hot Summer 23 (Volos Dancing)” cannot go unmentioned.

Premiered here, the stunning "Valentines Island" emerges as a piano hymn suspended in the Mediterranean air. Its melody unfurls with a tangible, humid weight, crafting a refrain that feels less played and more remembered – a direct transmission from a 90s dance floor, dusted with salt and amber light. The arrangement builds with a patient, wave-like certainty, wrapping the listener in a specific, communal warmth. This is the sound of a moment crystallised: bare feet on warm tile, the collective rise of a crowd, and the enduring echo of a simple, perfect chord progression holding the night together.

Bedroom Tapes is comprised solely of lost material from a recently discovered box of cassettes that emerged in the process of a house move. These tracks capture some of Paul Woolford’s most wide-eyed and naïve creative impulses at a tender age. Seemingly lost forever, some were part of sessions that led to him being signed to now-defunct UK techno imprint Blue Basique. This is the first chapter in this archive and an intimate portrait of the artist at a key stage of his creative development.

The tracks have been carefully mastered with a loving hand by Matt Colton who has been meticulous to retain their idiosyncrasies.
