Dear Colleagues,

Several days ago, I created a deep house mix for my show on 905 FM, New York (www.905fm.net), and I played one of Dennis Ferrer's instrumental tracks during my set. 
 
Once the show was over, I started listening to his instrumental track, repetitively for the next 15-20 minutes. Within that window of time, I had a creative outpouring of energy, which led me to turn on my microphone and record the thoughts that filled my spirit (Genesis 2:7, Luke 12:12, Acts 2:4).

About Byron E. Burke

Byron E. Burke has worked in the music industry for over twenty years. His passion for music began at the age of 13 while discovering his ability to play trumpet while attending Fredrick Douglass Middle school on the Westside of Chicago.

This inspired him to expand his talents as a street dancer with a group called the “Shy Boys”, while learning how to become a DJ under the direction of Sabrina & Shaun Robinson. By the age of 16, Byron was gaining notoriety as one of the new faces from the Westside of Chicago as a DJ which led him to sign his first record deal with DJ International under the group called “B Rude Inc”.

Shortly after working with DJ International, Burke met Marshall Jefferson, Byron Stingily and Herb Lawson and began learning how to become a songwriter and they worked on several projects such as “Truth” (Open Our Eyes), Ragtime (I Can’t Stay Away, Fix It Man & Rain Dance) and Kim Mazelle’s “Taste My Love”.

By the age of 19, Burke became the Vice President for Burstinglaw (Burke, Stingily, Lawson) Music Productions in Chicago, Illinois that laid the foundation for what was going to come next.

Burke was one of the creative forces behind Ten City, an early 1990′s dance group that has established them as one of the pioneers of House Music. He co-wrote and produced two albums entitled Foundation and State of Mind for Atlantic Records, one album entitled No House Big Enough for East West Records and one album entitled That Was Then, This Is Now for Columbia Records.

The records spawned ten Top 20 Billboard magazine dance songs, five Top 10 Billboard Magazine Sales Chart Singles, ten Top U.K. Pop Chart Singles, a Gold Album from South Africa and a Silver Album from the U.K. that received international acclaim on four continents.

After the success of Ten City, Byron relocated from Oak Park, IL to Würzburg, Germany in 1995 to embark on a new journey that will begin to transform his life.

He served as the Senior VP of International DJ Relations for a dj booking agency called Caus-N-ffct. Burke’s business aptitudes and global relationships within the music industry helped open doors for many American and European dance music artist, as well as increase revenues for Caus-N-ffct, Germany from $40,000 to over $1.2 M annually within 2 years.

Byron played a pivotal role in developing the first 8 city Marlboro DJ Academy Tour in 1996 that featured Chicago House and New York Garage artist and DJ’s. The tour featured several of the top American DJ’s & Recording Artist such as Masters At Work, Farley “Jack Master Funk”, Tyree Cooper, Ralphi Rosario, The Murk Boys, Benji Canderlario, Danny Tenaglia, Armand Van Helden, Barbara Tucker, Kim English & Roger Sanchez.

In July 1997, Byron participated in the Love Parade that hosted 1.2 million dance music fans in Berlin as a MC on the Club Dockland parade truck along with the artist known as Kraze from New York.

In September 1997, Byron relocated from Würzburg, Germany to New York City. For the next fifteen months, he began researching and studying several major record and film companies to expand his knowledge about these industries.

In 1998, He served as the Co-Executive Vice President of the music division for Prelude music & Film Works that released the 1998 motion picture Lost In Space for New Line Cinema.

In January 1999, Burke decided to further his education by attending a continuing studies program at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. called “Business 16, From Idea to IPO” This 10 week course taught methods on how develop, acquire funding and run a successful start-up company. 

Today, Burke leads BB Media Global Group, a boutique media and business development consulting firm that strengthens & reinforces brand awareness. The firm conducts research and analyze global  social and economic trends for their clients that will attract new customers, build customer loyalty, and reduce cost by implementing well-organized marketing & business techniques for start-ups, as well as established corporations throughout North America & Europe.

When it comes to business development , the firm works closely with several start-up ventures such as  The House Music Channel , 905 FM Brooklyn, NY,  Mustang Mike Drag Racing & the DJ Hall of Fame & Museum (Chicago Founding Board Member, 2013).

Burke is also the Senior Pastor of an online ministry called “Byron Burke Ministries” which started in 2002. He holds weekly bible teachings with individuals across the globe as well as mentoring 35 pastors in India and 3 ministries throughout Africa since its inception.

In addition to his duties at BB Media Global Group and Byron Burke Ministries, he began his undergraduate studies at DePaul University in January 2010 to obtain customized BA in Business Development, Global Leadership. On December 16, 2010, he became an inducted member of the Golden Key International Honor Society as well as a 2011-2013 DePaul University SNL Dean scholarship recipient for academic excellence.
