Shir Khan and the illusive Exploited crew reveal the first compilation of the cultishly adored Black Jukebox series. It includes the sunniest grooves you’ve heard this year. ’Shir Khan Presents Black Jukebox Disco Jam 01’ is a soundsystem-ready disco-house jam which tickles the subwoofers beautifully and seems purpose built for eyes-wide-shut Summer terrace play in big outdoor spaces. Black Jukebox is traversing the wide spectrum of ‘dancefloor’ music.  There’s much to excite: All four tracks are built for rooftop parties with the deep V crew.
From slo-mo housed up boogie-soul, to a loft-party future classic, to a feel-good, sun-blushed, druggy, late night electric jam, to main room filtered disco house and subbass-bugged R&B…it’s all there.  It’s no wonder the Black Jukebox Vinyl series became buy-on-sight and quick to disappear. Launched in late 2011 by Shir Khan, Black Jukebox was mainly focussed on Vinyl Releases. 13 Releases later, this is the first compilation which sums up some of the best moments and features 3 tracks that were digitally never available before.

Local Talk are a Swedish label that to many fans of house music needs little in the way of an introduction. Playing an important role in the careers of artists such as HNNY and Crackazat, the label has released many outstanding tracks, and worked with everyone from Soulphiction to Terrence Parker. 

One of the label's most popular artists is Art Of Tones who along with numerous Local Talk releases has also worked with other imprints such as Lazy Days Music, Defected and 20/20 Vision.

With a prolific output of such a consistently high standard many do not realise that Art Of Tones has never released a solo artist album, but with this new LP on Local Talk that is soon to change.

"Super smooth groove-smiths Whiskey Disco have distilled another disco bomb here. Thoma Cher is the supplier of the good times via, firstly, the pure party gem that is "Holiday Holiday", on an EP that marks Cher's first solo outing on this label. "Dancer" is an uplifting track with a warped bassline that wraps itself round the sliding hi hats and loose drums as boogie synths add colour. "Be My Love" is an instantly recognisable gem with a fat bassline slowed to a sensuous pace overloaded with breathy vocals. Great stuff."
