Regulars on Bolting Bits, Lagaffe Tales (run by Jónbjörn Finnbogason and Viktor Birgisson) have played a pivotal role in introducing us to some of the scene's most talented, up and coming artists like Felix Leifur, David & Hjalti, Moff & Tarkin, and Intr0beatz. This year, the duo has decided to revamp their original digital series called "TALES" and have chosen to familiarize us with yet another gifted producer: Beraber!

Hailing from Amsterdam, Beraber is set to release his Lagaffe debut titled Early Riser, which is a four-track EP that showcases his ability to craft simplistic, lush melodies with an array of memorable synth riffs. At the core of each of his songs lies a mesmerizing groove that gets introduced at the very start and subtly builds throughout its entirety - eventually reaching a point where you can't help but be overwhelmed with just how god damn catchy it is.

A perfect exemplification of his style can be seen in the title track from the EP. In the beginning, the listener is immediately drawn in by the original's sequenced, undulating synths that anchor the piece. From there, Beraber then tasks himself with growing the beat by working in soft pads, a far-out bassline, electric percussion, and jarring chords. Although each of these elements wouldn't pop-out by themselves, as one, they create a phenomenally textured atmosphere that will get your head bobbing in absolutely no time.

Early Riser is set to come out on Lagaffe Tales next month on May 6th. Pre-order the EP here!

Mystery Australian producer of warm and bouncy jams is back on Lobster off shoot Distant Hawaii. 'Looking Forward' is a hazy sunset jam with its emotive chord motif & phased 909s. It's such a simple track when you think about it, but the textures that wash in and out and the movement provided by the phaser over the drums provide a lovely organic flow that locks you in. Proving sometime its the simple things that can provide the most emotion.

Hailing from Vienna, Clemens Buerbaum aka The Wash, delivers a superb debut on YOMO with this 2-track EP straight out of progressive heaven.

Clemens started 2019 with bang as the winner of Quivver’s ‘8 Bit Eclipse’ remix competition which gained him not only a release on Quivver’s Controlled Substance label but also a collaboration with the maestro himself. His releases and remixes received support from the likes of Nicole Moudaber, Tim Penner, Solid Stone, Basil O’Glue, Mike Koglin and many more while as a DJ he had the pleasure of opening for Guy J earlier this year.

Inside Man and Unimatrix Zero have The Wash trademark sound all over them - layers upon layers of drums and percussion over a subtle groove, wrapped in emotive pads and atmospheric textures. Progressive house the way it’s meant to sound!

Born in Brazil and raised in Vienna, Austria, Joyce Muniz delivers this week's Global Vibe Radio mix showcasing a sound that delivers deep, dark, percussive drums, electro and driving house beats.

Joyce Muniz’s background as a singer combines in powerful synergy with her slick production sound and her supreme skills as a selector, with each facet of her creative output feeding into and fuelling one another.

She began her production career in 2010 in the Viennese underground, fusing the sounds of her homeland with the contemporary beats of the city. Her first forays into production saw her combine her native Brazilian sounds with modern electronica, but as the years progressed she has moved towards an eclectic, vibrant take on house music.

She has released on influential imprints like 2020 Vision, Get Physical and chiefly the mighty Exploited, which brought the world her impressively accomplished full-length debut album, Made In Vienna. She also counts remixes for the likes of DJ Hell, Steve Bug, Maya Jane Coles, Claptone, Munk, Shonky, Stereo MCs, Tosca and Till Von Sein to her name, landing on acclaimed labels like K7!, Poker Flat, Gomma, 8Bit and SUOL in the process.

Another X-Kalay OG returns to the label this summer and we couldn’t be happier :) It’s not a huge overstatement to say that Lucas’ first record on X-Kalay, “Ataraxia”, was somewhat of a milestone in the development of both artist and label, and it has been a huge pleasure to see him go from strength to strength since its release just over two years ago.
