Amsterdam-based duo DJ Windows XP provide the next EP for Live Ones, serving up apple infused, sample driven rhythms that’ll pop cherries you never knew you had.
The pair have previously offered provoking selections on DJ Haus’ imprint E-Beamz and the Amsterdam based Who’s Susan to high acclaim.
The biggest contradiction is that none of their music is actually produced on a Windows computer - and quite rightly so. What will come next from the duo depends entirely on whether they finally decide to perform that software update.

PREMIERE: Ricky Razu - Reaching Out [13th Hour Records]

Another stupendously vitamin D drenched offering from @xxxy 's @SourEdits imprint, this time from @AstropicalTapes boss, @MarcinKrupa. This one's one of those in which you know what you're guna get, front to flip, from the moment the first kick drops on the A. Pure and utter unadulterated, saturated summer vibes, encapsulated within three 6ish minute cuts. 

We're premiering 'The World First Ambient Banger' - the heaviest jam on the record and contrary to what the title suggests, definitely not recommended as accompaniment to any deep zen meditation or sound bath retreats. Dusty kicks and non-apologetic percussion anchor a nostalgic filtered sample throughout - transporting the listener to the hazy dusk that befell the night before. Grab an ice cold one of whatever as this 6 mins of spice'll need to be washed down. Enjoy.

UK talent Josh Butler has made a rapid ascension since he burst onto the scene in 2013, winning coveted awards from Beatport and DJ Mag. He now brings his production prowess to Hot Creations, delivering a club ready two-parter for his debut EP on the label.

Title track Anonymous is made for low ceiling, sweaty basements with its deep, growling bass and select vocal cuts. Doesn’t Work swiftly follows suit, delivering another dose of rolling, after-hours goodness. A mainstay in the industry, having released on labels such as Cuttin Headz, Relief and Desolat, Andrea Oliva steps up for the remix of Anonymous with an acidic bassline and lively breakdown that diffuses into a carnival of synths.

Since emerging on the scene back in 2013 with his debut Got A Feeling on MTA Records, Josh Butler has firmly established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with. Releases followed on coveted labels such as Kaoz Theory, Rejected and Cajual. In 2016, Butler also launched his own highly regarded imprint, Origins.

« Aix en Provence-based imprint STRCTR first tickled our fancy last year with a trio of ear-pleasing, floor-friendly EPs. Since two of those were multi-artist, compilation style affairs, it's little surprise to find that release number four is similarly structured. First up, ALVA wraps jaunty, jazzy synth riffs and sun-kissed guitars around a bouncy and swinging deep house groove ("The Wall"), before Armless Kid delivers the kind of smooth and quietly soulful instrumental deep house number that could once have graced the B-side of a Prescription release.
