After various releases on the likes of Nervous Records, RTCT Records, and his own label MUJA, Austria’s Bernhard Weiss aka Demuja joins Madhouse with some fresh material following last year’s output on House Puff and Freerange.
The release opens with title track ‘Come To Me’, a rough and ready Lo-Fi number featuring a soulful sample, and blissful stabs of horns and strings. Following is the Folamour’s ‘Lost In Eden’ remix, twisting the original into a Balearic, sun-drenched vibe, contrasting the original and bringing a more funk-infused, melodious feel to things.
Up next is the second original on the release ‘Take’ which employs classic house tropes with a nod to the 90s via catchy horns and a New Jersey Garage/House beat. ‘Free Me feat Ladybird’ then closes the package, taking you on a silky smooth house journey, with Ladybirds dazzling vocals taking center stage.

Madhouse has announced the release of ’25 Years Of Madhouse (mixed & compiled by Kerri Chandler)’. The anniversary album will be released on 7 September as an individual track digital and CD album, continuous DJ mix from Kerri, and a special 8 track vinyl sampler.

Label co-founder Kerri has lovingly compiled and mixed ’25 Years Of Madhouse’, fresh from his 2017 landmark DJ-Kicks compilation, sending a track into space with Sonar25, and launching his Underground Kaoz concept with Jeremy Underground. Amongst a wealth of remixed classics from Kerri himself (including Adesse Versions), label heroes Demuja and Kevin Over feature heavily, alongside cuts and remixes from Jerome Sydenham, Dennis Ferrer, Roy Ayers (‘Good Vibrations’), DJ Deep, Will Saul, Josh Butler, Jimpster, and many more.

Launched in 1992, Madhouse Records was a joint venture between Chandler and Mel Medalie’s Champion Records. Rooted in Deep and Soulful House, Madhouse became predominantly an outlet for Kerri’s music, alongside productions from his peers, and tracks he discovered while DJing around the globe. The first release was a 6-track showcase sampler entitled 'A Basement, A Red Light & A Feelin’. Singles and EP’s followed from Matrix, Kamar, Lafayette, Dreamer G and Stratosphere (one of Kerri’s many aliases included on this album), along with Christopher McCray, where Kerri mostly produced, co-produced or remixed himself.

25 years on, the imprint has retained its original ethos and continues to push quality, underground House music. Forthcoming releases will see Seven Davis Jr, and Marquis Hawkes both make their Madhouse debuts; and over the past 12 months, the label has welcomed names such as Detroit Swindle, Peggy Gou, Jimpster, Josh Butler, DJ Deep, DJ Steaw, Kevin Over, Black Loops, Adesse Versions, Will Saul, Dennis Quin, Demuja and many more great names to their roster.

Mixed by one of the most respected DJs on the planet, ’25 Years Of Madhouse’ is a reminder of Madhouse’s considerable contribution to House music’s canon, and of a legacy that continues to shape electronic music in 2018 and beyond.

SHALL NOT FADE CELEBRATES THIRD BIRTHDAY WITH FIRST EVER COMPILATION 
 
• Skream, Frits Wentink and DJ Boring amongst artists contributing new material • Double-vinyl collection to hit stores in October to coincide with label club tour 
 
Skream, LK, Frits Wentink and DJ Boring are amongst the artists contributing previously heard material to a brand new double-vinyl compilation celebrating three years of Bristol’s Shall Not Fade label. 
 
Due for release in the autumn, Three Years of Shall Not Fade gathers together nine tracks from existing and freshly signed members of the label’s growing family of artists, including Mella Dee, TRP, Loods and Adriyano. 
 
The collection was designed to showcase Shall Not Fade’s constantly evolving sound, with the nine featured tracks touching on a wide variety of dancefloor-centric variations of house and techno while adhering to the label’s long-held ethos (“music to make people happy and dance”). It will be the label’s first ever album release and will be released in limited numbers on vinyl, with full colour artwork.  
 
One of the headline attractions comes from Skream, who makes his Shall Not Fade debut with “Haunted Seaside Amusements”, a full-throttle affair that combines a thumping, kick-drum driven techno rhythm with moody motifs and a breathlessly beautiful, rising and falling synthesizer melody. 
 
The compilation also boasts label bows from two recent recruits who will be releasing full EPs on Shall Not Fade in 2019. Sometime Omena, Shabby Doll and W&O Street Tracks producer Mella Dee serves up the driving, retro-futurist basement garage of  “Patchwerk”, while Mall Grab collaborator Loods delivers the album’s most overwhelmingly positive cut, the jazz-flecked deep house bliss of “Everytime”. 
 
Another high profile contribution comes from Frits Wentink and DJ Boring, who here follow-up a recent joint EP on Bobby Donny with a first collaborative cut on Shall Not Fade. Their untitled cut is typically eccentric, off-kilter and tons of fun, with manipulated vocal samples, intergalactic effects, jangling pianos and chunky bass wrapping themselves around a swinging, percussive groove. 
 
Naturally, the contributions from existing Shall Not Fade family members are equally as impressive. Adriyano kicks things off with the party-starting loop-funk of “The Sturdy Track”, while Lake Haze and Pierre Moritz dazzle with contrasting but equally dreamy slabs of saucer-eyed deep house loveliness.  
 
Shall Not Fade’s most storied artist, LK, naturally delivers the goods via the huggable deep house classiness of “Dark Days”, while TRP, who last featured on the label two years ago, returns to round of proceedings with the bustling, techno-tempo hustle of acid-powered lo-fi house workout “Leap In The Dark (Live Mix 2)”.

The Belgian reveals 'Cycles', a debut solo EP built to warm the body as the winter season approaches thanks to the four tracks pulsing with luminous and captivating beats.

‘Without U’ is a solid opener with strong deep and groovy tones. The catchy kick and sweet samples make it a proper dancefloor delight. The main title track 'Cycles' is a dynamic lullaby that sends waves of relaxation through you. The producer unveils a melodic house that blends perfectly with the high perched vocal.

The B side is just as enchanting - 'Crystal Height' is a true shot of your daily vitamin C with it's sunlit sequences. 'Hiding' lands in style, revealing a more breakaway house with dreamy synths. A touch of hypnotic grooves with an atmospheric rhythm, what more could we ask for?
