Anagram Noise is an American solo project. Inspired by the leitmotifs of film scores, he began recording demos in college. Anagram Noise released his first album in 2016, entitled SYMPTOMS. The clean, indie rock aesthetic of the album was heavily inspired by Hideki Taniuchi, Modest Mouse, Surfer Blood, and the local music scene of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Anagram Noise followed up SYMPTOMS with a sophomore release in the same year: STIGMA [EP]. This work featured heavier songs written during the recording of SYMPTOMS that did not fit the sound of the album. STIGMA [EP] departed from the conventions of SYMPTOMS by exploring the influences of Defeater, Nirvana, and The Vines. This work includes the song "Envy" which was featured on the 2017 compilation "Forge the Dream" by Factory Fast Records in Brooklyn, NYC.

Anagram Noise began 2017 with a third work of music called NOISE [EP]. Issued just three months after STIGMA [EP], this work saw another stylistic shift with the use of electronic beats and a wider array of guitar effects. Inspired largely by Gorillaz, NOISE [EP] features the song "Flames" which was included on the 2017 compilation "Indie Underground Vol. 7" by Milwaukee Junction Records in Detroit, MI.

Anagram Noise released his fourth record in 2018, entitled OBSCURIA [EP]. This work was inspired by Pelican and If These Trees Could Talk, and expanded the musical range of previous recordings. OBSCURIA [EP] featured more intricate guitar lines and song structure, including the track "Peaceful Death" which was remixed by Egyptian producer and net label Crydaeb.

Anagram Noise issued his fifth release in 2019 called WEATHER PATTERNS [EP]. This work was a concept album that sought to compared mood disorders to different climates. WEATHER PATTERNS [EP] also blended the heavy and melodic styles of previous albums. Later that year Anagram Noise also released an acoustic cover of "Drain You" by Nirvana.

Anagram Noise released his sixth work of music in 2020, entitled REPLAY [EP]. This work was inspired by Cosmonkey and Koresma, and was recorded during the 2020 lockdown. REPLAY [EP] featured another shift in sound by combining lofi-style beats with indie rock guitar lines.

Anagram Noise recalibrated in 2021 after dedicating time to other projects. During this period Anagram Noise returned to his earlier works and rerecorded STIGMA [EP], NOISE [EP], OBSCURIA [EP] and WEATHER PATTERNS [EP] in a two-volume set. LOOPS, VOL. 1 & 2 were released at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022, respectively. This album featured revised arrangements of previous songs performed live with a loop pedal. In the absence of new music in Anagram Noise also released a single at the end of 2022 called R E F L E C T. This single reprised the lofi aesthetic of REPLAY [EP] but with less influence from other genres.

Anagram Noise issued his seventh release in 2023, entitled CATACOMB IDEOLOGIES [EP]. This work was initially composed as a metal album but was rewritten in an experimental rock style late into production. CATACOMB IDEOLOGIES [EP] recalled elements of OBSCRUA [EP], but with a greater emphasis on clean guitar tone and dark, atmospheric layers of sound.

Anagram Noise released four works of music in 2024. The first upload was a punk cover of "Strip It Down" by Manic Street Preachers followed by three EPs at the end of the year. OFFCUTS [EP] departed from the textured style of CATACOMB IDEOLOGIES [EP] with power trio garage rock arrangements. OFFCUTS [EP] also recalled the more developed song structure of OBSCURIA [EP], but with greater focus and shorter tracks.

WHEELHOUSE [EP] served as a return to form for Anagram Noise. This work demonstrated his natural indie rock tendencies with hints of blues, and is most similar in style to his debut album SYMPTOMS. Like its predecessor, WHEELHOUSE [EP] featured shorter songs with more refined structure.

Anagram Noise ended the year with LOOPS, VOL. 3. This installment was the final addition of the series, and featured songs from SYMPTOMS and REPLAY [EP] with indie pop arrangements. The complete LOOPS album serves as his solo live set.

Anagram Noise released two singles in June of 2025 and another in August. The songs "Envy" and Flames" were given heavy remixes, the first of which was a dark trap metal fusion and the latter an atmospheric post-metal track. Also in celebration of season 14, Anagram Noise recorded a metal cover of The King of the Hill Theme by The Refreshments.

The future of Anagram Noise includes new music currently in development, collaborations with other artists, and aspirations to compose soundtracks.
