Great first song to hear this semester.  (Like you, I don't expect to make it all the way through, but I'm going to try!)  Lots of things here to like; first thing that stands out is the G# in the chorus, which makes it a little less of a typical progression.  I realize this is just guitar right now, but a suggestion would be to really use a bassline to break up the structure even more.  EX: F# | F | D#| B| then |F#| C# | B | B| .  You could then either repeat the 1st 4 bars, or even change it up further on one of the choruses to something like | F# | F | B - A# | B |.  This just allows the familiarity of the progression to remain, but takes it to a place where something new is occurring.

Showing my age here, but this feels like a late 80s anthem that would be playing on every rock radio station and MTV and most likely in my cassette player. Well done.

really enjoyed the hell out of this Chris.  catchy as hell, great flow, outstanding lyrics, passionate performance, great harmonies.  man I love that bridge too, so awesome.  love the "rawness" of the recording and performance.  feels like a whole rock band even though it is just you and a guitar.  you convey so much through just those two elements.
