Sparrow

From my mini album called Dimi Remembered. It is a tribute to cellist Dmitri Levine (1939 - 2015), who sadly passed away shortly after our last rehearsal and recording sessions. Being unable to finish those tracks with him, I decided after long and thoughtful consideration to remaster and release the original recordings, to share with you all, his beautiful and expressive playing.

I Hate That I Love You

- May I ask you .. How long you have been alone?

- Five and a half years.

- But before that,|you spoke to your wife?

- Yes... For the usual landed me in trouble.

- What kind of trouble?

- Well, we throw a party for our colleagues... Our friends.
And she found this quote, from Pessoa: 'Fields are greener in their description than in their actual greenness'.
And somebody said: oh, that's a beautiful sentence; and I said:
Yes, only a very few people will ever understand it.
There was a terrible silence,|and then she said, my wife,
She said: and I suppose you are one of the chosen few?
So, that was the end of that party...

- But you were right.

- Yeah, but it was arrogant.|Stupid and arrogant.

- And is that why she left you,|because of your arrogance?

- No, I think she left me, because she found me... Boring.
............

- Well, we still... got five minutes.
Thank you for... telling me I wasn't boring.
For when I think of their lives," Amadeu, Stefania,|the others,".. their lives full of such vitality,
intensity...

- So much so it broke them apart in the end.

- But they lived.
Where is my life...! apart from these last days...

- and now  you're going back to it...  
   Why don't you just stay?

- What?!
