Zuma Dionys - real name Denis. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He started his DJ career in 1999. He was the headliner of parties in many clubs and on the largest raves in Russia. During this time, he had several successful projects, and he traveled the world as well, and got in touch with many different cultures. One day he met the Indian Shaman, and they had a magical ritual together, which was beginning of Denis path @ slowmotion deep progressive ethno electronic music.

The latest edition of our free download series finds @gazel_musik for their first appearance. The duo releases an original called „Giants Walk“ on trndmsk.

trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the track?

gázel: We both come from very different musical backgrounds and have almost opposing views on sound design and arrangement tactics. This manifests itself in ways that constantly surprise us. Julian has a past in Punk, Indie and Hip Hop projects and is fond of nearly any handmade music. Lucas has been listening to experimental electronic music since his teenage years and has a past in harder music styles such as Metalcore and Hard Techno. After we listened to the finished track, we realized we fused those influences together unconsciously, while still sticking to our lowest common denominator: Downtempo. We think the track does very good job at representing who we are, musically. (...)

Did you understand me? Let me rephrase in order to confuse you better. I want to be misunderstood and improperly categorized. As soon as you think you know me, I shift my shape like Eglė and you will become a reptile. If you put me in a cage I will transform into a tree and my roots will be free until the end of time.

Say it again, I don’t understand. Come back home, I miss you. Sometimes I need to restate in order to send a clearer message. Words can’t heal insanity but in the end it’s infinite trust that holds us together, strong like the sum of everything and nothing. We need to destroy ourselves once in a while, just to rebuild from scratch and start a new chapter of love.

A ritual has opened your eyes. Departure into separate worlds, our universal language extinct slowly. Like a rainbow I can’t find you anymore. The cosmic loop of life is closing and my reincarnation is decided.

Linda Westin’s visual message offers brightness to things being hidden in the dark. Her alternative view on reality has inspired me to restate and go deeper on my search for the truth.
