Hivemind, a collective intelligence with many branching nodes that work in tandem to accomplish great things. At its center is not a controlling unit but a cohesive mass of varying consciousnesses that drive its success. Such is the effort that began at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic when traditionally metal musician Comminution reached out to retrowave artist and writer Human Simulator with a small snippet of electronic music. Nearly a year later, what began as a small idea swapping session is now a completed collaboration album consisting of ten songs that combine the genres and styles of two disparate music makers into a quorum of catchy, thought-provoking compositions. Retrowave, synthwave, vaporwave, darkwave, chillwave, metal, industrial... it's all here on aural display.
