Monolog Rockstars’ latest single can be considered an artistic impression of the sometimes quite volatile state of mind experienced by the band’s lead singer Ramon Lookman. A rough mix of beats, synthesizers and expressive vocals gives rise to a dark and brooding base for the icey and explicit vocal parts.

Monolog Rockstar’s new track Headwind is a mix of lo-fi rap and post funk, combined with a classical metal type vocal line which tells the story of the incredible challenges people face in their lifetime. As always, they manage to combine extremely modern elements with an original composition style and deep lyricism.

In the future within a quiet corner of the universe, beings had discovered a remarkable phenomenon known as the dream nexus. It all began when a group of scientists stumbled upon a way to calibrate dreams. Soon after, inhabitants of the world realized they could communicate with each other on a subconscious level, forging connections that transcended the boundaries of wakefulness. The dream nexus became a shared realm where individuals could meet, converse, and collaborate in a realm woven from the fabric of their collective imagination. This such place revealed ancient memories buried in the collective unconscious, remnants of forgotten civilizations, and the echo chamber of information long lost to time. The dream nexus was the means for this flourishing society to create new languages, as well as expand on means of communication amongst the masses without physically moving an inch.

Dutch jazz renegades Trigg & Gusset, notorious for their musical ingenuity as well as their mature production style, are now back in 2020 with their third album "The Way In". This follow up to their internationally acclaimed "Adagio For The Blue" features eight soundly composed and tightly produced tracks.

While staying inside the domain of instrumental jazz, Trigg & Gusset manage to constantly maintain a tight embrace with the world of electronica. Gusset’s powerful woodwind performance combines magically well with the composition and production skills of the studio veteran Trigg, allowing them with each release to create an ever more a unique blend of styles that can only be said to be in a league of its own.

As well as both being excellent musicians themselves, Trigg & Gusset manage to maintain a strong network of excellent performers, as well as creatives, supporting their original compositions on all levels, from artwork to guest performances. "The Way In" can be considered Trigg & Gussets summit in this perspective as well as in the sense that it has matured their diversity; the trumpet solo of Coen Hamelink in Mirage, the flute solo by Famke van Daalen in Stardust or the bass playing by Dominique Bentvelsen and Just Lavooij enable it the sense of a solid formation, setting it apart from the current standard of electronica or next generation dark noir jazz in a big way.

"The Way In" is released in limited edition on LP and CD, 300pcs each, as well as digitally on all available mp3 outlets. If you enjoy either the old hardcore jazz releases or contemporary electonica, or any of Trigg & gussets other releases fo course, I suggest you try to get your hands on a copy as fast as you possibly can!

Humanworkshop is a loose collective of electronic music producers and audio professionals.

We are a label, manufacturing and releasing CD and vinyl albums alongside offering free MP3 downloads of exclusive tunes and DJ/live recordings. We are an audio services company, producing content for any conceivable form of online and offline media. And we are a blog and e-zine, writing and publishing articles related to audio production, music composition and new media.

As a music collective and netlabel, we aim to cover a wide area of electronica and beats genres without being part of any particular scene. We are not a dubstep label, not drum and bass collective; rather we like to look at ourselves as a group that combines virtually any modern style with more authentic and traditional music. We are interested in music that merges contemporary production with samples and recordings of 'real-world', physical instruments.

As an audio services company, we like to think we are a versatile bunch of professionals, able of producing sound design and music tailor-made to the wishes of our clients. We have worked for big and small clients alike, ranging from the BBC, Nike to non-profit, government funded projects.

Humanworkshop was established in 2000 by Daan Hendriks, Gerrit Elbrink and Remus Ockels, then first year Audio Design students at the HKU in Hilversum. In 2009, we merged with netlabel and e-zine Fant00m in a move to expand our range and offer more quality content. As a result of this merger, Durk Kooistra entered the core team of Humanworkshop.
