Ladonia is a micronation  proclaimed in 1996 by the artist Lars Vilks. In 1980, he began construction of two sculptures, Nimis and Arx in the Kullaberg nature reserve in north-west Skåne, Sweden. The location of the sculptures is difficult to reach, and as a consequence they were not discovered for two years, at which point the local council declared the sculptures to be buildings, and demanded that they should be dismantled.  Vilks appealed the decision of the council, but lost. He appealed repeatedly, and finally the case was settled, in the council's favour, by the Swedish government. Frank Agrario has given Ladonian citizenship this year and titled the label's second release to his new nation. 

The peaceful and deep nature that surrounds Nimis really impacted the sound. There is a certain deepnes  that dominates the tracks, still the beats are funky as usual and percussion and dub fx work is an undeniable Frank Agrario's trademark.
The Rmx comes from his Majesty RICK WADE that sparkled the release with his magic  Detroit's vibe, a masterpiece. 
Note : Anthem is the first recording of Ladonia's national anthem known to be pressed on vinyl.

ZigZagging is a personal selection and DJ mix by Opolopo of his favourite tracks from the Z Records catalogue.

"I was both honored and humbled to be asked to curate a compilation as well as do a DJ mix for Z Records. As I dug into the archives I was struck by just how consistent Z has been throughout the years. I had no master plan other than to pick the stuff that grabbed me. Boiling down my shortlist of some 100+ tracks to only 35 was tough to say the least. A lot of excellent and classic tracks didn't make it. Some because of licensing reasons, others because I just had to draw a line somewhere. I had a ton of fun putting the DJ mix together. A lot of a cappellas, custom edits and tweaks were used to create a coherent but zigzagging journey through the diverse ZR universe."

The album includes two exclusive Opolopo tracks, a new refix of 'Staying Power’ by the The Reflex and a new remix of ‘Sustain’ by Opolopo himself.

Review: Emirates-based DJ/producer Don Dayglow has giddily flit between labels of late, serving up EPs on ISM, Particle Zoo, Hottwerk and Thunder Jam. Here the British ex-pat adds another label to his discography via a quietly impressive collection of cuts on Fingerman's Hot Digits imprint. The real standout is probably opener "Gazza's Music Gang", a tidy rework of the flipside Dub of "Making Music" by Gary's Gang which makes great use of the original's chugging groove and fluttering, life-affirming synth solos. That said, there's plenty to set the pulse racing elsewhere, from the acid-fired funk-goes-Italo-disco throb of "Dig It" and the jaunty nu-disco melodiousness of "DCi 2i". The latter comes accompanied by a tidy Fingerman re-rub in which the South Coast producer goes all wonky, bass-heavy and trippy.

The wax is ready to be trashed once again as numero 8 drops in our continuing Trash The Wax compilation series.

There are a few folks returning from previous outings with Danny Russell & Ronald Christoph dropping another chopped up disco funk bomb on 'Future's Gonna Get You'. Brian SNR is back with a wicked slo-mo chuggy'n dubby offering on 'Hot Shot' whilst JB Dizzy breaks out the arpeggiators to devastating effect on 'Freak Street'. Gaël De L'lvresse (now just going by De L'lvresse) presents a wicked bass driven infectious romp with 'Field River'.

Elsewhere there are cuts from long-standing friends and members of the Paper family; Joe Morris makes a long awaited return with a great piece of late night smoke and lasers style shenanigans on 'Smoke & Mirrors'. Kooky & Damoon drop more slick disco sounds, From Beyond delivers another cosmic sounding slice of brilliance and Pico takes things all trippy.

From newcomers, we have some jazzy edit vibes from The Secret Soul Society, a classic gets cut up and rearranged by Jahn Solo whilst there's an incredible bit of 80's soul /post disco sounds from Paper Street Soul.
