The thug-ass bass mastermind AVAA is back, and he's packing an arsenal of heat with him this time. Still one of the most unique and underrated producers on Box Of Cats, we love this stuff from the bottom of our bass-driven hearts! Proper chunky, low-slung house music dripping with ghetto character that we just can’t find anywhere else.

We talk about AVAA having his own sound, but when you mix that with the uniqueness of Tom Classic you know you're gonna have some shit that you ain't heard before! 'Need Me' feels like it was born in the basement but raised in the main room. Raging synths and chords swirl around the beat while you get just about as many wubs you can handle in 3 minutes. If you were chatting to an Aussie the B-side 'Yeah Yeah' has a real "nah yeah yeah" or a "yeah nah yeah" feel about it. If ya know what we mean?? No? Well, Google it :P.

Green Tree is here and he's here to stay. Like a bad smell some would say, but a smell you can't help but sniff. Its like parmesan. Absolutely delicious but kinda on the nose.

Well today he has dropped a whopper with cheese with Puppet On A String. A moody late night record with a mysterious vocal sets the tone for this one around a bumpy bassline and housey beat. Really vibing the feel of this one, we don't get too emotional here at BOC, but this one got us feeling a bit fuzzy.

What? Giant again! haha yes! We are loving his vibe and he's on this remix with some vibes club energy. Great use of the original sounds and a rolling bass really make this one a proper peaker. But keep those eyes peeled for our man Advent who's flying through the gates with his addition to the pack. Chunky and cheeky and clean. This has BOC written all over it!

Green Tree - Puppet On A String (GIANT Remix) (BOC139)

Oh boy, oh boy, we have been sitting on this big old bomb for a while. We were waiting for the right moment to release it and just ahead of summer - seems like an appropriate time to introduce you to this phatty by Caique Carvalho and Wildsuad.

'Call On Me', doesn't feature a sample by Steve Winwood, but it does feature a whole lot of quirky swag. Let's push those words together and call it: quag. That's what this track has, a lot of quag. In all seriousness: this one is truly epic.

Caique and Suad did a great job tying together a myriad of sounds. From raunchy synths, to jumpy, LFOey lasers and interesting soundscapes created with the vocals, this track has it all. The South American gentlemen usher a groovy beat-bassline combo into an epic break that immediately made us jump on this track.

On remix-duties we have Italian gentleman GIANT who might be able to break down dancefloors even more with his straight-to-the-point, high energy interpretation of this slapper. We're not sure which one we love more. 

A ten outta ten package if we ever saw one. We're sincerely happy to be able to put our stamp of approval on this one.

Caique Carvalho, Wildsuad - Call On Me (GIANT Remix)

We're pleased to bring to you another release from within the family. This time it's our boy Marco, who does a great job A&Ring for us, who cooked up two smackers that we had to jump on and confiscate.

And so here we are - with Garruk bringing us a fun, bouncy Ghetto House-influenced EP that feels heavily inspired by boundary-pushers such as DJ Haus and Gettoblaster. At the head office, we love our Chicago-style records, so we're glad to be able to bring this one to you.

'SOSY' is a super bouncey, fun and ravey track, which leans on a dirty ghetto beat and features a lead that just nestles itself in the back of your head, while 'One More Stop', which he created with his compadre Marco Hack, is just a full-steam-ahead kind of track with a funky flute sample that should go down well on the dancefloor.

All in all, a ten outta ten package for us. We hope you agree with us!
