My thanks to muterial for the joy of working on his original track, “Off The Rails”, which was composed of sounds that came from just two seconds recorded by him of water flowing across a ford and then slowed more than 100 times while treated through filters, reverb, EQ and compressors. The result was an invitation to further treat his innovation with additional music and sound for spacial effect for this collaborative version. I, of course, could not resist. :)

When I joined SoundCloud back in September of 2016, the first thing I took full advantage of was exploring the real artists on this site and organizing playlists of my very favorite songs. I had a great time browsing pages, reading bios, exploring songs and commenting on my favorites… and I’ve met some great people and made a few friends along the way. This page is all about them; the wonderful musicians you might not otherwise discover.

Deutscher Singer-Songwriter über fünfzig Jahre alt. Seit fast vierzig Jahren schreibe und singe ich Lieder. Mein Hauptinstrument ist die akustische Gitarre, aber ich mag auch Perkussionsinstrumente (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). Ich liebe es, melancholische und poetische Balladen zu komponieren. Aber manchmal schreibe ich auch (schwarze) humorvolle Songs, Jazzstyle und -Rocksongs. Meine Hauptsprache ist Deutsch. Mein persönliches Mantra ist ein Satz, der von Paul Mccartney auf dem Beatles-Album "Abbey Road auf dem Track "In the end" vor fast Fünfzig Jahren geschrieben wurde:

German singer-songwriter over fifty years old. For almost forty years I have been writing and singing songs. My main instrument is the acoustic guitar, but I also like percussion instruments (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). I love composing melancholic and poetic ballads. I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
