Normally, podcasts are easy to do and being motivated, one goes to work in exciting anticipation to let the latest delicacies and accumulated "podcast records" shine.
At 3hrs 33min though, the situation is different. We rummaged deep in the record crate, full of enthusiasm knowing exactly what was being played. Dissatisfied with the result and a musical existential crisis not far away, we reflected and rethought the essence of our music: who are we and what do we want anyway? With detective acumen, we conducted acquisitions for weeks and dove into old and new realms in search of the undefinable. Back to the roots...

Babylon Family Series #018 - Glauco Di Mambro

Recording from a special night at CAMP - a co-created, participatory music and arts festival near New York City. I had the opportunity to lead the musical creative direction and programming for this year's event, and was overcome with joy to witness so many different musicians coming together to share their gifts. 

This set was re-recorded, as the original file from the live event got unfortunately lost. For it, I had the amazing opportunity to co-create live with poet and performer Lauren Ducrey, and with the limitlessly creative and talented guitarist and vocalist, Mendeleyev. 

The journey takes us through some of my favorite selections of genre-bending acts in the downtempo global downtempo landscape.

Bio: "There’s a certain aura that surrounds the music coming out of Romania. The scene, something that has been in existence since the early '90s has long been acknowledged as a breeding ground for illustrious DJs and producer talent. Anyone with even a passing interest in underground electronic music will attest that.

His journeys with the beats takes him thru great clubs and festivals like Burning Man, CRSSD Fest, Guadalupe Valley Fest, M.N. Roy, UMBRA,     Mia Tulum and more.

His original music with Latin, Mediterranean and Afro flavors are part of the Buddha Bar 25th album.

The path of music have crossed him in the DJ booth with important artists such as; Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Claptone, Audiofly, Blondish, Sabo, Goldcap, Phil Weeks, Demuir, Gab Rhome, etc.

As producer has releases with Buddha Bar, AH Digital, Kosà Records, Tropical Heat and INU Music, some of those tracks hit the Beatport charts.
