The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Arude for his first appearance. As a fixture of the electronic underground for the better part of a decade, Ukrainian artist Arude is perhaps best known for his twenty-plus appearances on long-standing Berlin imprint Steyoyoke. It was this creative swell which set the stage for more recent projects via Beatfreak, Eklektisch, Radikon and Renaissance, all of which have been ideal landing spots for his elusive sound. An in-demand remixer for sometime, it was earlier this year that Arude took to re-interpreting ‘The Sound of Violence’ by French electro duo Cassius. Originally released in 2002 via Virgin Records and highlighted by vocals from Steve Edwards, the dancefloor anthem has the distinction of being the duo’s only track to reach #1 in the hugely influential Billboard Music Charts. We’re happy to offer his take on this timeless anthem as a free download. Enjoy.

Hey everyone, it's Ignacio Arbeleche here with another bootleg track! This time, I've taken Genesis's classic hit "Land of Confusion" and given it a full-on melodic techno twist. 

Now, I know some of you might be wondering about the legality of bootlegs. As a fan of Genesis myself, I want to make it clear that I have the utmost respect for the band and their music. This bootleg is simply my own interpretation of their iconic track, and I don't intend to harm or disrespect the original piece in any way.

A lifelong fan of electronic music, Hyperbolic Function began playing  instruments at the age of 13 and started DJing at 16. After moving to London in 2009, he immersed himself in the underground scene, which deeply influenced his sound and his dedication to the genre led him to found and manage the successful techno blog, The Techno Kittens.

Based in London, Hyperbolic Function has performed at iconic venues such as Electric Brixton and The Shelter. He also hosted Melodic Electronic on Music Box Radio, where his dynamic DJ sets and finely tuned productions found a dedicated audience.

His music is known for its progressive and melodic sound, characterised by a euphoric yet melancholic rave edge, enriched with intricate melodic layers. His debut EP, Ascending, released through Reckoning Records, soared the progressive house charts taking the #1 releases spot and peaking at #7 & #11 in the Hype and Top 100 charts.  

Currently, he is working on new music including a new EP, remixes, and preparing for upcoming DJ gigs.
