I went into FLStudio again and recreated another song using the Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald soundfont. This time, it’s It Has to Be This Way, the final boss themesong from Metal Gear Rising. And no, this wasn’t a midi.

I recently modified my NES to support VRC6. I didn't stop there. Since I will be creating more 8-bit music in the future, I will also be recording the other channels.

This mod allows for me to have 3 separate isolated outputs for SQ1/2, Triangle/Noise/DPCM, VRC6 (and other expansion audio chipsets)

I will be utilizing a PowerPak and recording off real hardware. I think I'm most impressed with the frequency response of the noise channel, honestly. Here is a song I remade a while ago which incorporates the SNES and PS1 versions of the song. All, of course, playing off real hardware. :)

SQ1/2 are panned slightly to the left, TRI/Noise/DPCM are slightly panned to the right. VRC6 is middle.
