Acid Ernst is the alias of Konstantin Unwohl. He’s reviving the MRT series with four tracks of different qualities. The A side is pushing in every direction, relentless rhythms, depressed melodies coming in waves and sombre lyrics. As to bring sadness and frustration in an otherwise angry techno room. The B side is rather sombre, with a masterpiece that goes by the name Ehering and a dark number called Deine Stiche taten Weh. The perfect starting point to close the MRT chapter, the first of 4 releases that will conclude this adventure.

São Paulo's vibrant music scene has given birth to many iconic artists, but few have left as indelible a mark as Noporn.

In 2024, the project's founder and lead vocalist, Liana Padilha, passed away, leaving behind an immortal catalog filled with club hits and club tracks that have shaped the soundtrack of nightlife worldwide.

Two of the final productions by the São Paulo duo, “I Know You” and “Noite Triste,” are now being released as a special tribute on Inner Shah Recordings.

“I Know You” unleashes a rebellious lively side of Liana. The duo delve into Darkwave and Post-Punk on a departure from their signature Brazilian-Portuguese electronic spoken word. Featuring rare English lyrics, the track retains a raw, authentic feel, having been mastered from an early demo version instead of a final mix.

“Noite Triste” (translated as “Sad Night”) is a powerful collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Jup do Bairro, also hailing from São Paulo. The strong voices of Jup and Liana narrate a vivid story of a night in the city, brought to life by dystopic percussion and warm synths in a hypnotic arrangement by Lucas Freire.

To round out the EP, label head Madd Rod contributes with a club-weapon remix of the B-side, adding a new taste to “Noite Triste”.

This posthumous EP stands as a heartfelt homage to Liana Padilha, whose pioneering work in Brazilian electronic music will resonate far into the future.

Continuation of the podcast series “Electro To The Masses” by Sergey Timoshov in the first independent music compilation. Including selected examples of the style, the compilation consists of 11 tracks that convey the spirit and energy of early electro, immersing the listener in sci-fi stories with a dark futuristic shade. Be careful, do not lose the connection in space and time when listening.

Each track of the compilation reflects the era of electro's ascent to the peak of popularity. Starting in the 80s, having separated from hip-hop, electro became an independent style, the sound of which formed the image of modern electronic music along with techno, house, acid and other canonical styles, while using a very ascetic set of instruments, for example, the familiar to many Roland TR-808, which became the hallmark of the style.

We are proud to present this release in our label's catalog and are especially glad to have become part of the Electro To The Masses distribution machine.

The next move from Artefakt (@artefakt-official) and Delsin is a selection of their label back catalog remixed by four producers that can’t do no wrong in modern techno days. The artists they chose are all debutants on the label where it feels like a perfect fit. It resulted in a collection of involving drum grooves, hypnotic loops, smoky dub techno and cinematic ambient.

Forest Drive West (@forest-drive-west) is up first, coming off the back of a fantastic album on Livity Sound that showcased his hi fidelity take on bass, jungle and techno. Here he flips 'The Fifth Planet' into eight broody minutes of involving drum programming and groaning synth drones. A subtly uplifting tune thanks to the gorgeous pads in the background, but real bass heavy system music when it comes to the dance floors. Swedish producer Evigt Mörker (@evigtmorker) turns 'The Fifth Planet' into an utterly hypnotic, rolling, lumpy kick drum workout that pulls you into a state of techno meditation. 

Paris deep techno stars Polar Inertia (@polarinertia) then remix 'Tapeloop' into a cavernous world of smoky dub techno. The vast emptiness sucks you in and the deft sound designs make for atmospheric, cinematic additions to this mental trip. Closing is Spazio Disponibile artist Valentino Mora (@valentinomora), whose slowly unfolding odyssey is built on gentle hand drums and spooky pads and take you deep into some oceanic abyss.
