After making several notable appearances on our Crysta Ampullaris compilation series, Ayuji finally unveils his debut EP 'New Borders' on La Forge. As skilled on the keyboard as behind the decks, he has been shaping spiritual, energetic and hypnotic electronic music as part of the collective since 2019. The four tracks, crafted over the past two years between France and the Indian Ocean, are greatly influenced by travel, its philosophy, its initiatory nature and its ability to transcend us by confronting us with otherness.

Deploying a sonic palette oscillating between techno, trance and progressive house, Ayuji plays with contrasts and finds the perfect balance between groove and melody. He manages to coexist the vast expanses of his travels with the sweaty intimacy of the club, making ‘New Borders’ an EP calibrated as much for listening as for the dancefloor.

The result is four euphoric, introspective, and psychedelic tracks, from the enchanting melodies of 'The Way Of The Shaman' to the psychedelic textures of 'First Contact' and 'Planet Inferno' to the resolution of 'Dina Morgabin', a sweet reverie over an irresistible ternary rhythm.

There’s a time for everything. To fill in another piece of the puzzle. To make the matrix make sense. Trying not to hide it, trying not to fight it. Just trying to recognize it and keep on going.
This four-tracker, the first release on Sansibar’s 'Sin Sistema' imprint, borrows the best elements of formulas we love, and for a good reason.

‘We Rise’ a spiraling, mesmerizing infusion of yearning pads and a twisting acidic wormhole that leaves no room for doubt: this is Sans on form, and we have lift-off.

‘Elastic’ continues the lysergic theme, turning the dials towards a more sinister entity. Growing, realizing one’s power, and using it.

And on to the B-side, joining forces with Denzel, becoming ‘Sonic Minds’, getting into Techy territory. This is strictly festival business. Tried and tested throughout summer ’23 to devastating effect. Call an ambulance.

The final track ‘2k’ ups the Tech ante and sprinkles some murky UK Garage dust on top: skippy drums, a bouncy bass section, and dubby atmospheric

The night was cold and dark as he wandered through the forest. He’d been out here for hours, seeking refuge from the monster which lurked within. Never had he imagined that it might end up here, like some sort of twisted slasher flick. He ran between the trees, pondering whether he might ever see the light of day again and make it out alive.

Was it all a dream? Was he really here?

In the distance he heard the whirring of the machine as it sparked to life once again. It was time to run once more…

Spray retires the eponymously, to instead seek Punctuality; a new label for ‘dastard club elegies in the dark’ hosted by the maestro himself. Blu:sh clocks in to provide the imprint’s inaugural extended player with U is for U and me, a pentagonal suite of nocturnal seductions for ‘U’, our dear listener, from ‘he’, its rosy-cheeked conductor.

B is for Blu:sh (sometimes Benoit B and Terra Utopia), a froward node in the artist’s trilateral soul whose previous charm offensives for Roza Terenzi’s Step Ball Chain and Rey Colino’s Kalahari Oyster Cult under the alias signalled the arrival of a new challenger to the ‘hits parade’. Attention, Electro-heads! SNC Recs is back with its first vinyl release for 2024, presenting a treat for all breakbeat enthusiasts with Friedrich Ernst's Breakthrough EP. The old-school influenced 12’’ is garnished by two high-grade remixes contributed by none other than the new-wave electro pioneers, DJ MELL G and Viikatory.

Hailing from Dresden, Friedrich Ernst discovered his passion for electronic music at an early age. After relocating to Leipzig in 2020, he co-founded the label "Self Learning System" with DJ Unisex, focusing on releasing electro music and organizing events. Since then, Friedrich has honed his own style and established himself internationally as a label owner and producer, increasingly focusing on live performances.

His second solo EP, marked by his detail-oriented and uncompromising electro sound, fits perfectly into the SNC Recs catalog and brings a dignified start to the tenth series. Completing the release are remixes by DJ MELL G and Viikatory, each bringing their own personal touch to a different track.

As a collective bringing together fifteen people (DJs, producers, plastic and graphic artists), La Forge has become in the past few years one of the main players in Reims’ electronic music scene. In a city scarred by a lack of true night institutions, they promote a protean aesthetic of techno music, without boundaries or taboos, throughout their "Crysta Ampullaris " compilations or their ‘Resonance’ and ‘Outrun’ events. Such artists as Simo Cell, Lisa More, François X, UF095, Elise Massoni, Laze, Hermeth, Renart, Sweely, Realitycheck, G’Boi & Jean-Mi, Maelstrom, Voiron, Bamao Yendé or M&C have yet played for them.
