A couple of days ago Pascal Schmidt aka Pascís told our editor Sarah Schlifter how he turned into a DJ and music producer after professional skateboarding and an employment as Marketing and Sales Manager. Besides his time for the interview, the 31-year-old offered us one of his tracks titled “Stranger”. Now, the Cologne DJ’s second track is due: “Come Again”. “The track has been released on a limited DerSuperMarkt/Kompakt vinyl compilation only. There hasn’t been a digital release (so far)”, says Pascís.

Wie Pascal Schmidt alias Pascís - @pascis_music - vom ehemaligen professionellen Skateboardfahrer, über Marketing- und Salesmanager bei einem großen Sportartikelhersteller zum Auflegen und Produzieren von elektronischer Musik kam, erzählte er unserer Redakteurin Sarah Schlifter vor einigen Tagen im Interview. Under his Xr/spool: moniker Michelangelo Perrone enjoys the exploration of unknown territories in which forces of the universe interact with time and space in order to distort reality. 
The notion of constrast is essential to capture the meaning of "Void Lands", a distant world  in which the beauty of nature is closely linked to its brutality and both of those merge in a pleasant agitation. 
This chimera is translated into music thanks to wild but mastered interactions through which powerful polyrithmia stands against hypnotic samples, mostly issued from the artist's personnal field recordings. 
For his first album, Xr/spool: paints a dark and mysterious canvas that invites us to pay more attention to the smallest details that may help us to grasp the complexity of this new world we're in.

This spring, Nuremberg’s Paul Schmidpeter navigates Sol Eterno’s 12th lap around the perfectly sphere hot plasma’s orbit. With his Thereness EP Schmidpeter stretches the label’s gambit, further and deeper in.

The German DJ/Producer establishes placement, warmly and coarse to start, with Thereness, filling in space and occupying time with astute command of timber and deft grip of melody. 7:03 minutes consists of sound because there is there, there. And as Thereness defines meaning, it refines existence in and by way of sensorial symphony further emphasized by ‘Isolation, a deliberate distancing of sound structures, back and fore, light and darkness, delicately balanced and sophisticatedly reinforcing, gracious in all manifestations of dance.

The "Die Rakete" resident wraps up with ‘Blockades, a mood- balancing, luster-tempering finale that comfortably swathes a body-aligning contouring of free movement as choreographed by unadulterated emotions.
