The year is 2050, humanity is collapsing and overrun by an anonymous entity, known as the Robodroid. The mission of the Robodroid is to end civilization as we know it.

After their successful collaboration debut “The Darkness Is Coming” on Crobot Records, Robodroid is back once again with a new release. Now the Robodroid has traveled back through time to reprogram the future. The EP includes four dark and aggressive electro originals and two remixes by none other than Maelstrom and Dexorcist.

Robodroid is a futuristic electro project ran by Przemek Kuduk (Robodrum) and Ben Evans (The Droid).

Arvid Wretman, AKA Your Planet Is Next, has assumed the role of musical storyteller with a serious mean streak of DIY electro.

Wretman’s latest album tells its tale through the eyes of an imagined anti-hero. He conjures up the gritty underbelly of an over-populated megalopolis; a world of dilapidation, ruin and sin, where stiletto knives are a dime a dozen and our titular protagonist, the FOG MAN, stalks the streets.

In an oddball tradition, there’s an absurdist, left-of-centre flex coursing throughout. This is the Stockholm native at his strangest, radiating fuck-off attitude and an embrace of imperfection as he maximises the potential of a limited studio setup.

Bleak spoken word lyrics only serving to bolster the narrative storytelling, ‘Sad Fog’ paints a vivid picture of hardships endured, while ‘Fog Power’ resembles the inner dialogue of a man teetering at the edge of sanity. Think corrosive, industrial fug and rugged, tape-damaged torque.

Through ‘No Fog’s menacing machine funk to the visceral, downbeat sleaze of ‘Freaks’ and queasy, Wolfenstein-sampling 'Eisenfaust’, the FOG MAN deals that dystopian gear in spades.

Ready 2 Fog will be released as full album on tape and digital with a limited edition of 7" lathe cut vinyl containing 'Look 4 The Fog' and 'Ready 2 Fog'. All physical copies are accompanied by an exclusive 24 booklet with visual works from the world of the FOG MAN.

‘Revving’ is Desinformant’s first full length EP release on Rotterdam (via London) label Feed The Void. It sees a merging of Pedro Braga’s Electro, Bass and Ghettotech influences. Title track ‘Revving’ is a half time Bass track, which switches the traditional breakbeat focus of snare drums with claps. The simple but incredibly meaty bass line packs some extreme power throughout, making it the perfect taste of what’s to come for the rest of the EP. ‘Engage’ cleverly switches between half time heavy duty Bass music and full time Electro inspired Breakbeat. ‘The Perennial Question’ is a collaboration track between Desinformant and fellow Naarm based producer Hedchef; a structurally intelligent percussive track that still packs plenty of punch. EP closer ‘Flashbacks’ is the most Ghettotech inspired track of the whole EP with the vocal being pushed to the front, a driving resonate bass-line and percussive fills. ‘Revving’ is the perfect peak time bass music offering and a brilliant first release of 2024 for Feed The Void.

PREMIERE: Desinformant - Flashbacks [Feed The Void]

For Marcela Dias Sindaco’s third release on the Oklahoma City label Fixed Rhythms, she delivers a full-length 2xLP of her characteristically magical electro. These songs were recorded in various studios across Brazil, capturing the intangibles of Brazilian city life. You can hear her influences (Detroit techno, kosmische synth travel, electro, etc.), but she distills it all yet again into something completely her own. Whenever you listen to her music, you know it’s her. Hypnotizing electro made on warm machines with her sung/spoken Portuguese woven enchantedly throughout…truly sublime listening. This is a 16 track groove journey that will make you a Marcela fan if you aren’t already one.

The two black 12”s come housed in a beautiful jacket that offers you a glimpse into Marcela’s world. The background of the artwork on the backside features a wallpaper design that you may find in an old home in Brazil. Inside is an insert written by Italian curator and philosopher Massimo Torrigiani. Only 300 copies pressed…don’t sleep on this one.
