After the deserved success of his debut self-released album in 2021, Kami-O expands his bass driven horizons with a second full length effort, 'Veiled'. Where 'Biren' captured the nature of Kami-O's roots, 'Veiled' captures the nature of his soul at a specific moment in time. Recorded during lockdown through a period of anxiety and isolation, the talented Glaswegian lays out ten characteristically deep meditative tracks with moments of etherealism and foreboding tension, sparked by the record's sublime opener and today's premiere, 'Silva'.

Kami-O is a Glasgow based producer & DJ who specialises in dubstep and grime. He put out his first self released project, the 'Hara EP' in 2020, which got him noticed by the renowned label FatKidOnFire, who signed him for an EP and mix later that same year.

Following this he released his debut album 'Biren' in 2021, a project dedicated to his late grandfather and inspired by his Indian heritage. It released to high acclaim, with features in Complex, TRENCH, Electronic Sound and Polymer Zine, where it achieved a 9/10 rating and the title of album of the month.

After this, he dropped a couple of vinyl exclusive, 2 track EPs with known underground labels in the scene, LDH Records and Soil & Sound, plus also recorded mixes for platforms including Rinse FM, Subtle Radio, Rinse France and SeekSickSound.

Now he's back with his 2nd album 'Veiled'. A release inspired by his struggles with his mental health and social isolation, which were only heightened during the lockdown when work on the album began. Featuring vocal collaborations from Rider Shafique, Amos and Jae Mann, this is Kami-O's most diverse and expansive release to date, spanning 10 tracks of consistently surprising, forward thinking music. 'Veiled' will be released on November 11th digitally on all platforms and on limited edition cassette through bandcamp.

Jah-Tek presents the album title track 'Veiled', a beautiful sonic exploration, diving into the depths of eastern instrumentation and harmony, accompanied by soothing low-end warmth.

Side A sets the stage with "Cylinder," a collaborative effort between Slak and Stephanie Sykes. This track takes listeners on a journey into ambient-rooted break-techno, featuring cinematic pads and powerful drums. Appleblim follows with "Every Blade Of Grass," a wild break-electro beat that combines ferocious reese bass and solid synths.

Side B begins with Datafive's "My PC Is Not Political Correct," delivering his personal take on low-tempo drum and bass merged with wistful idm melodies, and the usual dose of sound design. The compilation concludes with Anna Kost "W03 X" delves into the world of futuristic electro, with accurate sound design and drum programming combined with spiritual atmospheres.
