Picking up on the launch of Marie Montexier’s Paryìa label with a trippy EP by a.b.u.3.0.3., the second release comes from the Dublin based shooting star Small Crab.

The Skin & Blister founding member delivers three percussive breaky tracks that highlight a wide range of her musical influences. Combining smooth textures with tribal rhythms the ’Flowing with Honey’ EP perfectly rounds off with a bass heavy remix by London based producer Talik, who recently gained attention through highly acclaimed releases on 3024 and Intercept.

From the crooked formation and pointillist bleeps of ‘Pulse I’ through the light-footed percussion and airy melodies of ‘Pulse II’ to ‘Pulse III’s strafing techno synths and ‘Pulse IV’s surefooted, bass-loaded house jack, it’s an EP of variation and consistency in equal measure. Altered, crushed, distorted—the process of Constant Decay melts matter into noise and textures from which percussive, driving tracks emerge. This new release by Eƨƨe Ran pursues the artist’s explorations and reaffirms a style in which sound becomes palpable, as if subtracted directly from the ground. Sculptural, the act of composing chisels at the material to reveal angular structures. Eventually, the cycle ends. Rotted, sound returns to dust.

Ouroboros presents Grey Pantone’s “Acid Break” the second release on the label, produced by the talented Andrés Grey.p, featuring a captivating collaboration with S. Moreira (@smoreira).

Acid Break is a renaissance tribute to the break beat. A rare example that does not rely on the state of the music industry and flows free of social burdens.

From sweet merging acid basslines and bright pads from “Acid Break” passing through Detroit’s deep bass, vocal samples and orchestral arrangements from “Get Down” to the nostalgic frenzyed break-beat “por bulerias” from “Gypsy drummer”. Culminating a Dub “Acid Break remix” that makes you want roll up a tree.

The result is a collection of tracks that effortlessly blend jazzy melodies, broken beats and uplifting vibes.
Scheduled for release in October 2023, “Acid Break” will be available in both vinyl and digital formats. The latest release on LKR records is a deep electronic trip, courtesy of Canada’s D. Tiffany (@d-tiffany). The aptly titled ‘Cruel Trance’ moves across moods and tempos in a distinctly psychedelic and hazy manner The EP’s first track Low morphs effortlessly between serene ambient techno and broken electro. 4leaf steps along confidently at double speed, in a swathe of IDM bleeps and tones. The B-side opens with Cruel Trance, a deep and percussive piece of dancefloor weaponry. The EP winds with a blissed-out cut of dubby aquatic house, titled 8 in Conga R. It is the perfect end to an inspired release.
