After three years of throwing parties, the Berlin based event series collective was thrilled to announce something they have been dreaming of for a while now, the launch of new label and the first Awkwardly Social record release.
Similar to events and mix series, their goal is to use the label as a platform for exciting, up and coming artists from within closest community and beyond. Working together with a good friend, the very talented Greek-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Aroent therefore was a real pleasure for the label guys.

The don of data bank hijack house returns with his sleekest and bleakest technoid tunnel rat opus: C.M.T.I.E. Manual. Explicating a dystopian corporation’s psychonaut expansionist agenda (“Corporate Macrodosing for Technological Innovation and Efficiency”), the tracks trace a policy of liminal lysergics, automated motion, and sequential circuitry, lit by the iridescence of laser face scans.

Pleasure Model 3.0 operates optimally but its grids flicker with strange sentience and opaque moods, conflicted systems in friction with their directives. Programming is brainwashing; no intelligence is artificial.

Premiere: Pleasure Model - Glacial Memory

The plan had been carefully masterminded, every detail scrutinised and every minute accounted for. It had taken months of preparation to get to this point but they were finally ready. It would all go down tonight under the veil of darkness, a stealthy getaway in the shadows. The rewards would be huge, but the consequences... Well, they preferred to keep them out of mind.

For their fifth release, following EPs from SC-164 and The 15 Dead Minutes, London-based imprint Subapical call on Art Mechanical regular Junq. The fellow Londoner has been producing for almost two decades, taking his productions to labels like Wandering Soul, Further Electronix and Revoke. Now he makes his debut on Subapical, with three tracks that continue to carry the label's mantle for electro-driven sounds.

JIN's 2nd EP storms out the gate with Hong Kong's finest Mr. Ho. The Klasse Wreck's head honcho boss drops three originals. 

A1 "Holy Smokes" is a slow-motion, acid-flavored chugger, making one feel like snake-rolling through Hong Kong's urban jungle. B1 "Emo Springs" blends futuristic jungle, tribal, house, and juicy basslines into a must-get dance floor heater. The EP finishes off with B3 : " Not Good With Others" - a no BS bassy and bossy track, swings with a filthy kick from the get-go.

Added are two sonic-weapon-remixes: 
On A2 UK OG duo Dawl & Sween hits all the cylinders with vinyl-only, mean breakbeat banger remix of "Holy Smokes." On B2 with Hong Kong's 宀 Club's music curator Sunsiaré running "Emo Spring" through an electrifying old school jungle reshape, leaving all buzzed by his sonic assault.

The Winter Restrictions Vol. 1 sets a sign to celebrate club music. This compilation brings seven Swiss musicians from all over Switzerland together: Kombé, CCO, A-Alpha, NVST, Slow Glass, Rafael Kasma and L.D.R.. With its variety but consistency at the same time, this compilation could probably be seen as the blueprint of club music in Switzerland in the years 2020 / 2021.
