November 2021 Discoveries.

Many people simply want to hear and enjoy some great new music without having to waste time searching for hours. These Musical Discoveries collections aim to fulfil those needs. At least, we hope so! :)

This playlist is a compilation of the favourite musical discoveries of the Wud Records team from everything they heard at SoundCloud during November 2021.

Tracks have been arranged according to the number of plays at the precise moment of publishing, starting with the fewest. Tracks that are early in playlists tend to receive more plays than later tracks, and we feel that the ones with fewer plays need the best chance of exposure.

This playlist is extremely eclectic, so if the track you are playing isn't quite doing it for you, try the next one. It will probably be completely different.

If you enjoyed listening to something here, please give it a like and a repost. Follow the artist. Give them a shoutout on social media. Check out some of their other tracks. Buy something from them and your support will help them to keep going. Doing any of this will help raise their profile. At the very least you might make their day. :)

Sharing is very, very important !!

Sharing is a massive help for independent artists. They don’t have big corporations and mainstream media saturating every channel with their product. Every independent share counts.

Giving something a ‘like’ is nice, but sharing exposes the artist to your followers. This means that anybody in your community can see and click on what you shared. They can potentially enjoy it as well. It enables somebody new to discover the artist and become their newest fan. You create the chance for that to happen.

“The Camera Man” by Three Photons is an indie-blues rock track with strong 60s/70s experimental vibes and gritty, analog production. It blends crunchy rhythm guitars, ambient leads, and emotionally raw lyrics that explore themes of isolation, media distortion, and urban disillusionment.

I imagine a cameraman sees a lot of things he doesn't want to see or believe ;-)

Dangerous | The Consolers

This track is inspired by an old piece from 1982, which we played in my third Band. At that time we were enthusiastic and wanted to make music as a living. But we all ended up somewhere else, only our singer made it, as he joined Pink Cream 69 and later Helloween, where they are playing the big festivals till today :-)
I myself had stopped playing at all, focused on my profession and touched only the acoustic guitar from time to time. My Marshall JCM 800 and my Fender were becoming more and more living room Accessoires and were nicely looking hanging untouched at the wall. In 2015 my son woke up music in me again, when he came to me playing a song he had created with GarageBand on an iPad. Then the guitar flame started to burn again and finally the result you can listen here. I hope you enjoy it.

When We Were Happy

Ahh, the dissolute pursuits of the leisured classes. So shallow! So lacking in substance! 

And pursuits scarcely get more trivial than those perpetrated by Cheesemont Paisley-Paisley and Lord Clarence Gatling von Hassle Royce, 9th Earl of Wadstein, or "Royce" as he may be casually hailed assuming you survive your first attempt at such familiarity. 

Hypnopompetus is but one of several nauseatingly diverse projects in which this brace of regal rogues, never content with studio facilities or genre restrictions, have embroiled themselves.

The skill these two flamboyants command at stylistic metamorphosis may be inextricably (and unfortunately) linked to their contentious working relationship, which is why they've become known as "The Prickly Pair". 

Yet there's no denying that the results always leave an inimitable residue -- no matter which of them is left holding the editorial high ground when the blood dries.
