John's original acoustic guitar and terrifically cool vocal  recorded on his phone(!!) to which we added...

@Rick-4-1  laid the heavy beat down and I added a little 'extra heavy' in the mix, then floated out some oily Mississippi guitars on a  muddy ripple of stereo Rickenbacker 'dub' bass, an overdriven church choir on a keyboard raft of alcohol (both left over from the wedding arrangements ;-)) and sang some BGV's... great lyrics John! (See below)

It was a wonderful concoction , something to behold,

Flirting with the 60's and the sounds that captured my attention. A salute to such creative times when experimentation was the go to place. Everything seemed so fresh and limitless. Everyone was finding their musical voice.

Notes:  Hi everyone,  think I am going to steal the line from my friends, November Sound, and say if you are reading this...I appreciate you.  This track has been in development for a while and another learning experience.  

This song is meant to rail against the systems that claim moral superiority and victimize their followers. Events as they are happening in our times and the frustration with the silent acceptance of this behavior. 

How defined these systems of control are and how we are born into blindly accepting these chains.  Then we spend our lives trying to figure out why happiness is so hard to find.   

Some major milestones on the engineering side and while I could rattle on about this... lets just say that the microphone recorded tracks out number the DI 5 to 1.  Custom processing chains, coupled with the best performances I could muster on the bottom shelf gear. 

Perfect...certainly not... but most definitely Tainted Icarus,  I hope you enjoy it and always my brothers and sisters.. peace and love!

There is so much talent and variety here, and most of the people are pretty cool too. I love being part of this community. Listening to your music and being heard in return is enough.

Still reading? OK I'm gonna muse a bit. It's hard to fully convey how much this forum has meant to me. There are people I've never met that feel very much like old friends -- and in a very real way they are.
If I follow someone I make every effort to listen to and support their efforts. It's certainly not a transactional relationship but I do tend to limit my follows to people who engage in mutual listening and engagement.
