After 15 years experience as event hoster, vocalist and DJ, Berlin based Desolate Discotheque established himself more and more in the European Techno-EBM-Wave scene. Succeeding debuts in Berlin and Athens, he also brought the heat to Tbilisi, Tunis, Frankfurt and so on. 
 
Back in 2019, he fulfilled a personal dream by starting his own independent cassette label, Crave Tapes. With the label he created a platform for new as well as already known artists from all over the world. 
 
The inspiration he draws from 80's underground electronic music and the goth culture, is manifested in his exorbitant, authentic and excessive style - a wild mixture between EBM, New Beat, Synthwave, Post-Punk and some Techno.

For more than a decade, Alden Tyrell has been tirelessly crafting away on a range of electronic sounds. Recalling the motifs of Detroit and Chicago clubs and radio stations gone by, combining robotic basslines with rich synth lines and doing it all alongside peers like I-F and Legowelt, it's not too bold to say Tyrell is one of the leading names in his field, despite his modest claims only to "push buttons until I hear something that rocks."

From his Rotterdam base, there have been hot anthems like 1999's 'Love Explosion' landmark collaborations with old school heroes like Egyptian Lover and plenty more pumping electro-fried offerings on esteemed labels like Clone and Viewlexx. Often taking his live sounds and arpeggiator love on the road, highlights have included appearances at festivals like Lowlands and BLOC as well as clued-up clubs all across Europe and the States.

But the Dutchman's investment in his art also runs deeper: a large part of his time is spent mastering music for Clone Records, the associated Dutch imprints as well as for a range of international labels. Tyrell's unassuming approach - "I just want to enjoy myself in the studio...if people enjoy what comes out the other side then I very much appreciate it" - coupled with his love of crafting the past in the here and now; combing elements of futurism with streaks of retroism, are the things that make him quite the indefinable talent he is.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music. This drive is further exemplified by regular showcases at renowned institutions Berghain, Basement, and Tbilisi’s KHIDI as well as a multitude of clubs throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

With a vast artist roster from stalwarts such as Ron Morelli and Teste to contemporary talent from the likes of Pablo Bozzi and Gael, the eclectic variety of releases touches upon a range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic music. BITE has proved itself as the imprint to watch. Fresh off the heels of their 5 year anniversary in 2023 culminating in the acclaimed triple LP compilation ‘Shedding Skin,’ BITE moves into more dancefloor territory with their next releases by label head Phase Fatale and remixes by Rrose. The display of the music is also represented in its visual prowess with cutting designs and colorways intended to take the sound into another dimension. From proper techno to synthpunk and to sparse minimalist industrial, BITE never fails to deliver fresh and razor-sharp sounds tying together the narrative of dance music.
