Patterns is the title track from Iain's debut album released June 11th, 2021.

It was serviced to college radio as a "dual single" along with "Leaf Syndrome" where it was the # 2 Most Added Electronic Overall (tied with Bicep and The Chemical Brothers). 

"My friend was recently diagnosed with cancer and Patterns is about how we both processed the news and how it affected our relationship. I went through a period of dissociation, of feeling detached from reality. Thankfully, my friend beat the shit out of his cancer and we remain close to this day".

Full of Hancock's legacy hints such as voice synths, catwalk-like swingy beats, jazz club smoky keys, and acoustic samples, genuinely mixed by Mario, glue the pieces together and start slowly drifting towards the culmination of this remarkable composition.

A Vehicle Mind is the first is a series of three EPs from San Francisco's Mr Tea, who is making a name for himself as one of the best house producers around today.

J As In Giraffe is an absolute beast. Heads down acid, nailed to the floor 4/4 drums, a warped sample, the track subtly builds to the break when an arp is introduced and the club kicks off big sticks. Make no mistake, this is A-grade peak time DJ dynamite.

Desire is all about Wonder, who brings some heavy sleazy heat to the super-deep beats and production. Synths, subs and tripped out percussion take it big room and late night.

Dreams of Angels is a slice of sublime house music that is probably best played as the morning sun breaks through the club windows as that last rush takes things into the cosmos.

“The Allotments” is a nocturnal return to Sydenham Hill — the place where six boys once climbed a broken fence, shared cheap cider, argued about music and politics, and promised they’d never drift apart. Twenty years later, only five come back.

After the funeral of their friend Marcus, the group climbs the hill again to spread his ashes and rediscover the place that shaped them. The allotments are still there, but changed: the fence has been fixed, the skyline is unrecognisable, the old hut leans like it remembers their names, and the bench now has a quiet partner beside it. There is no guitar on the album, in honour of the one who used to carry his everywhere.

Across twelve tracks, the album moves between present-day grief and 90s flashbacks, blending ambient-folk, soft UK electronica, gospel harmonies, wet-green field recordings, and wordless choruses that feel like voices carried on London’s night air. Memory slips, timelines overlap, and the group slowly realises that what they return to never returns the same.

This is an album about friendship, absence, and the way growing up rearranges the map of a place.
A grey-green elegy for the boys they were, the men they became, and the one who didn’t make it back.

Tigerskin's 'Feel for You' was originally released on Dirt Crew Recordings back in 2011 and hasn’t aged a bit. However, this new and brighter mixdown will hopefully ensure it at least another decade of smiling faces.

'Basswood' and 'Tonewood' are both brand new cuts off Alex Krügers studio and, like most of his latest works as Tigerskin, reflect his further development away from pure functional club music to a more string-instrument-based and very personal musical approach.
