Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series! 

On this edition we welcome San Miguel (@san-miguel-berlin)

San Miguel’s musical signature is defined by his various interests and influences of his travels through time and space which manifests itself into a soundscape of hypnotic spheres and deep driven basses. Often combined with folkloric elements and a range of organic instruments, his sound weaves unique tales that carries the audience gently and straight into an ecstatic dance experience. 

He is a master for clashing the styles and shows a deep instinct for timing and suspense as he draws a bow throughout his mixes that will move any dance-floor that thrives on powerful global beats and psychedelic rhythms. 

That special composition led him release his own productions on labels such as Lump Records, Underyourskin Records, Pipe & Pochet, LNDKHN, Cosmic Awakenings, Serafin Audio Imprint and Souq Records.

Together with LaniRose (@lanirose_monada), he launched his second electronic music label and sonic community „MŎNɅDɅ“ (@monada-project) in 2018, based by the philosophical monad as expression of the pure eternal essence which exists in every living being. 

Featuring talents from all over the earth, the label provides a playground for hand-picked and visionary sounds, expressing multicultural and contemporary beauty in modern simplicity.

💿 Was können wir wissen 💿

💭 In der Geschichte der Menschheit gibt es schier unzählige ungeklärte Ereignisse. Das beginnt beim plötzlichen Verschwinden der Hochkultur aus dem Industal vor 3500 Jahren, geht über den Bau monumentaler Gebäude aus Stein und endet (nicht) bei Sichtungen und Berichten über UFOs. Unsere Welt erscheint als gründlich erforscht und wissenschaftlich akkurat dokumentiert, jedoch gibt es noch so viele Geheimnisse und Ungeklärtes zu lüften. Zum einen gibt uns die Kleinstwelt der Teilchen und Quanten, als auch das große Ganze in Form des Weltalls, Rätsel auf. Zu unseren Lebzeiten werden unmöglich alle Ungereimtheiten aufgeklärt und entschlüsselt. Vieles bleibt weiterhin im Verborgenen, und uns nur die Spekulation. Im Schnitt wissen wir viel weniger über die Welt, als wir annehmen. Ein Grund mehr, sich in demütiger Dankbarkeit zu üben.

🎵 Der Podcast von San Miguel beginnt mit samtweicher Melancholie. Es ist die Sehnsucht nach einem Tanz, umgeben von schönen Menschen in einem Setting der Hingabe. Dieser Drive erscheint ebenso mystisch wie tiefgehend und durchzieht den gesamten Podcast. Außergewöhnlich fesselnd zieht die Musik die Aufmerksamkeit in ihren Bann. Hier verlieren sich Gedanken in Emotionen und am Ende bleibt nur der 4/4-Takt im großen Ganzen.
