With all his Treats and Gifts? 

Is he a Lover, with a Strong Heart for ******* 
Hugging greatly and giving Love-Lifts? 

Does he Pray, 
Or Face-Religious? 

Or a Braver, 
Or Spontaneous? 

Is he a Disciplinarian 
Wherewithin all Members under him 
Are tuned to his Command? 

Or a Freester, 
Who gives his Kids their darling Freedom 
Without any Demand? 

Does he care, 
For the People and Loved Ones around him? 

Is he Provocative, 
Uncaring for Anyone behind his Dim? 

Mostly, he is the Grass, 
Herding the Future for his Offspring? 

Or the Lamb, 
Stubborn and very Unwilling? 

And so, whatever he is, 
Or does, 
Pá is Pá <-> (A Father is a Father),  
Anonymous or Specific 
I wouldn't mind. 

Just as long as he has
HEART, STRENGTH, FREEDOM and PROSPERITY, 
KINDNESS, BRAVE, PROTECTIVE

In between all the elements Science has already charted and discovered, there are still many we have not yet identified. Nature, and the universe for that matter, still hides many concepts that we have not yet visited or studied, and there exist combinations of those concepts and elements that we haven’t yet explored. In a sense, this work is an ode to that unknown, a fusion of elements from different time periods and places, but that live chemically bound by musical space and time because of the foundations they share, and when put together, create uncharted elements.

 the power of collaboration is on full display in this superb set of songs by Portuguese artists Pedro Martins and Tempura the Purple Boy. Each track holds a unique space which then swerves and unfolds in so many surprising and pleasing ways. Calling on influences and reveries of many tastes and times, from dark and gritty downtempo to early 90’s atmospheric jungle. One can sense the symbiosis that was present in the studio. Pedro’s experience as a producer, studio engineer, DJ and manager of Karakter Records and Tempura’s musical and compositional background was a strong and organic mesh, with Tempura laying down grooves and melodies and Pedro building on aesthetics and overall sound. 

In the end, every new piece of art is laid on top of a foundation of influences. Yet this record shines unique, in it’s masterful fusion of those origins. 

Re-envisioned by 3 artists of massive talent and promise, the remixes fully live up to the quality found in the originals. All of these artists making their debuts on Random Collective. Nada with his dark, atmospheric and extremely compelling remix of Hall of Mirrors. Daniel Hokum concocted a bouncy cut of the same original that is both stripped down and twisted up. Finally, Katabtu caps the EP with an incredibly dreamy and sway inducing rendition of Seismic Activity which he clearly put his soul into, along with a riveting vocal part.

"Juru Fô", the first single from Yemanjo's upcoming full length album "La Misma Fuente" on Wonderwheel, is an intercontinental collaboration between Yemanjo, Argentinian multi-instrumentalist Onanya and Malian singer Mariam Koné. This buoyant mid-tempo house groove is anchored by Onanya's interlocking ngoni melodies, echoing djembe fills and Koné's call and response vocals. Appropriately enough, the title translates as "Play the strings" in Koné's native language of Bambara.

K-Joshua (@dj-joshua) from Setúbal transmits into the ether Opposite Falls EP — nine audio fragments from a parallel chronicle. This is not just dub techno. This is a memory of a world where falling is a form of ascent. There are falls that lead you upward. There is sweetness that tastes bitter. There is music that doesn't echo in the ears, but in the spaces between thoughts. All of this — Opposite Falls EP by K-Joshua — is a new coil in the paradoxical spiral of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB].

Here, sound flows like water against the current. It climbs the slopes of the mind, skimming the familiar, revealing the impossible. Five original narratives:

:::Jonah van der Hout (@jonahvanderhout) brings us "Absolute Uncertainty" — like a code left behind by a civilization that no longer exists.
