Darkie Fiction is a South African music duo based in Johannesburg. The duo was formed by rapper Katt Daddy and songstress Yoza Mnyanda.  Their music draws influence from kwaito, afro-funk, neo-soul and hip hop. 


The duo aims to pay homage to authentic South African music of yesteryear. Their musical muses are the likes of Brenda Fassie, Caiphus Semenya, Letta Mbulu, Steve Kekana, TKZee and Boom Shaka.

Led by the magnetic South African singer Sisanda Myataza, whose voice flows through English,
French, Xhosa, and Mooré, SONGØ embodies the true spirit of an Afropop Alchemist: melting
cultures, languages, and rhythms into a transcendent whole.
Their journey began with a spellbinding debut at Les Trans Musicales in 2019, immediately
