Nacido en el 2000 y criado en la vibrante Ciudad de México, la identidad sonora de Ian Rendón se forjó en la confluencia del rock, el pop de los 80's y el rap. Desde temprana edad, desarrolló un profundo interés por la producción musical, inspirado por la energía de la música electrónica. De manera autodidacta y valiéndose de recursos en línea, perfeccionó sus habilidades hasta dar vida a su proyecto como DJ y Productor: Ian Hacker Gatling.

A través de este concepto, el busca traducir en música las anécdotas y lecciones que lo han formado, guiado por la filosofía de que cada momento debe ser valorado, pues las experiencias, tanto buenas como malas, nos convierten en quienes somos. Su estilo actual, inspirado en artistas como Boris Brejcha y Deadmau5, se define por secuencias de bajo repetitivas, melodías cargadas de delay y un uso prominente del sidechain. Un rasgo distintivo es su experimentación con vocales, herencia de su etapa produciendo Melbourne Bounce —influenciado por DJs del género como Deorro y Joel Fletcher—, un elemento que ahora aplica en su innovadora búsqueda dentro del High-Tech Minimal.

En sus presentaciones, Ian Hacker Gatling ofrece una experiencia auténtica e irrepetible. Sus sets son narrativas construidas exclusivamente con sus propios tracks, edits y bootlegs, complementados por trabajos afines de colegas productores. Rompiendo con las listas de reproducción convencionales, Ian selecciona la música en tiempo real, guiado por su estado de ánimo para canalizar la energía precisa que lleva al público a un estado de introspección a través del baile. Este enfoque le ha ganado el apoyo de artistas como Dave Mak, CGVE, Erick T, M2One, Cristian Varela y The Second Wave.

Su trayectoria ha estado marcada por hitos significativos. En 2020, su track "The Way You Move" fue incluido en el álbum recopilatorio "Best EDM Songs Globally (Miami Edition)" del sello Alveda Music, alcanzando la posición #6 en su lista de lanzamientos. Ese mismo año, su colaboración "Takin It" con Maze More, firmada en el sello húngaro Wiking Recordings, ingresó al Top 100 de lanzamientos de Electro House de Beatport en la posición #69, siendo además incluida en la lista oficial "Mejor New Electro House" de la plataforma.

Impulsado por la transformación global de la pandemia, Ian decidió dedicar su vida a la música de manera profesional, encontrando su sonido definitivo en el techno. Este nuevo capítulo se consolidó con "Rave In The Garden", un track firmado por el sello independiente Morpheus White Label de su amigo Alejandro De Ita. La canción fue considerada como propuesta a mejor tema de la semana en Beat 100.9 FM, la estación de radio de electrónica más importante de México; la misma que su padre le presentó cuando era solo un niño.
