Summer Mix Session 2020 ★ Ian Key

Born in Montreal, Ian Key has a passion for music that started at a very young age. At twelve years old he bought his very first turntables. In 2004, after enrolling in one of Montreal's best recording school, Recording Art Canada, Ian made a career out of his passion by working as a Sound Technician for various live bands getting many opportunities to DJ between them. "Boys Night Out", created by Ian himself in 2007, was the launch of his own unique Electro Tribal House sound.

It's with this sound and event that Ian stood out from the crowd and got to spin at some of Montreal's legendary venues like Stereobar & Parking Nightclub. Not forgetting local venues like Mile End, Complexe Sky, Saloon and many more. From then on, his talent and sound brings him to working with the BBCM Foundation, organizers of the Black & Blue Festival, with Beach Club and Le Drague in Quebec City. That same year, he is approached by Club Kid Productions which led to his Monthly Sunday Residency, and eventually get invited to Stéfane Lippé's last-saturday of the month and transform an already striving night, LippéSuction, into a night never to be missed, LippéSuction is the Key untill 2011 where he got his own night residency on thursday two times a month.
