Gegen Ende der 1980er kamen DJ Deeps erste Tapes auf unbekannten Wegen in ein CD-Presswerk. Ein begeisterter Bekannter übernahm die Vermarktung. DJ Deep erstellte gegen Honorar die Mixe und lieferte nur das Master-Tape. Durch die höheren Stückzahlen bekam die Deep Dance-Musik eine größere Verbreitung. Die CDs wurden ab 1992 auf Flohmärkten und in speziellen Plattenläden „unter dem Ladentisch“ für einen Stückpreis von ca. 30 bis 50 Deutsche Mark verkauft, ähnlich wie schon länger die Raubdrucke. Verbreitet war auch der "Direktvertrieb" an DJs in den Diskotheken. Der Düsseldorfer Zoll schätzt den tatsächlichen Einkaufspreis dieser Mixe - die vorzugsweise im osteuropäischen Raum gepresst wurden - zwischen 3 bis 5 Deutsche Mark.
Was für DJ Deep Ende der 1980er als ein Hobby mit einem Doppelkassettendeck im Partykeller begann, wurde in den 1990er Jahren zu einem sehr großen kommerziellen Erfolg für die Szene. Mixerfahrungen hatte Peine bereits durch seine Tätigkeit als DJ in der mittlerweile geschlossenen Discothek Glaspalast in Dinslaken. Durch das neue finanzielle Zubrot war es DJ Deep möglich, sein Tonstudio stetig zu erweitern. Die 2-Spur, und später die 8-Spur Revox-Tonbandmaschine wurde bald durch digitale Geräte ersetzt. Nun war auch das für den „Deep Mix“ charakteristische Keysampling möglich.
Da DJ Deep sich aber weiter an urheberrechtlich geschütztem Material bediente und z. B. keine GEMA-Gebühren zahlte, wurde die Staatsmacht auf ihn aufmerksam. Primär ging es mehr um vermutete Steuerhinterziehung als um die Verletzung von Urheberrechts. Dasselbe gilt übrigens auch für seinen Mixkollegen Studio 33. Die GEMA rechnete allein bei der Deep Dance-Serie mit einem geschätzten volkswirtschaftlichen Schaden von etwa 150.000 Deutsche Mark pro Jahr.
Das Landgericht Essen verurteilte alle Beteiligten wegen Steuerverkürzung und gewerbsmäßigem Herstellen illegaler Tonträger mit empfindlichen Bewährungsstrafen. Für die Vertreiber gab es auch Haftstrafen. Andreas Peine und Uwe Jagusch erhielten eine Geldstrafe.
DJ Deep veröffentlichte ab 1996 aber auch für die damalige Zeit brandneue Dance-Tracks auf offiziellen frei verkäuflichen Deep Dances, die sich später zu echten Dancefloor Hits entwickelten und in die Top Positionen der Charts kamen. Seit 2003 produziert DJ Deep eine neue legale Serie mit jeweilig relevanten Dance-Hits und in der gewohnten hohen Qualität. Inzwischen (Stand:19. November 2010) steht das 18. Doppel-Album dieser Serie (Deep Dance Vol. 18) offiziell in den CD-Regalen und in den deutschen Album-Charts von Media Control. Parallel zum illegalen Deep Dance veröffentlichte Peine auch den „SWG Chartmix“, wobei SWG für „So wird’s gemacht!“ stand. Ein Phantasiename.
Die Wortmarke Deep Dance (Register-Nr. 301194963, Leitklasse Nr. 25, Bekleidung) als auch die Wort-Bildmarke deep (auf dem Kopf stehender Buchstabe e, Register-Nr. 30152681, Leitklasse 09, Tonträger) wurden von Andreas Peine beim deutschen Marken- und Patentamt eingetragen und sind dadurch gesetzlich geschützt.

A new year, a new decade. For me, I felt a strong desire for cleaning, cleaning my studio, cleaning my travelbag which I use soooo often and is with me more than half of the year. Cleaning my kitchen, getting rid of the toxic, non PFOA-free frying pan. A new start of a cleaner me. Being closer to purity. And it feels good, very good. I don’t need a lot of material, the material I want is my studio gear, a nice mattress to sleep on and nice healthy cooking gear with natural produce and ingredients. And so there is less distraction around me so I can focus in a more clean way on music and spending time with my loved ones. With that in mind I made this new podcast. Enjoy the ride and hope to see you somewhere on this planet in 2020 or another time this decade. Smile and be kind, love and feel loved, sounds to me as a good start of every day.

From the early 1990s to mid-2000, DJ Deep was responsible for the production of the deep dance mixes. From 1996 onwards he produced the series "Studio 33" together with DJ colleagues. Also in 1996, as a team, he also produced various mixes for the German record industry, e.g. the Chartmix range, the summer mixes, Techno Marathon, Total Dicht Mix, Vengaboys Megamix ..... etc., all under the name of SWG-Mix-Production. In 2003 the first 2 official deep dance mixes and the first two single productions were released with great success by DJ Deep. This page is intended to provide an overview of the productions and future projects of DJ Deep and SWG. DJ Deep expressly distances itself from bootlegs that came onto the market after June 2000 and specifically refer to the above. Get series. (Deep Dance / Studio 33). These CDs are fakes of people who want to cash in with foreign names. As of June 2000, DJ Deep no longer has anything to do with mixing bootlegs.
Von Anfang der Neunziger bis Mitte 2000 war DJ Deep verantwortlich für die Produktion der Deep Dance Mixe. Von 1996 an produzierte er, zusammen mit DJ Kollegen, die Serie "Studio 33". Ebenfalls ab 1996 produzierte er, ebenfalls im Team, verschiedene Mixe für die deutsche Plattenindustrie, so z.B. die Chartmix Reihe, die Summermixe, Techno Marathon, Total Dicht Mix, Vengaboys Megamix.....usw.. Das Ganze unter dem Namen SWG-Mix-Production. Im Jahr 2003 erschienen dann, mit grossem Erfolg, die ersten 2 offiziellen Deep Dance Mixe und die ersten beiden Single-Produktionen
von DJ Deep. Diese Seite soll einen Überblick über die Produktionen und zukünftigen Projekte von DJ Deep und SWG bieten. DJ Deep distanziert sich ausdrücklich von Bootlegs, die nach dem Juni 2000 auf den Markt gekommen sind und sich namentlich auf die o.g. Serien beziehen. (Deep Dance / Studio 33). Diese CD´s sind Fakes von Leuten, die, mit fremden Namen, abkassieren wollen. Ab Juni 2000 hat DJ Deep mit dem Mixen von Bootlegs nichts mehr zu tun.

Born in Montreal, Ian Key has a passion for music that started at a very young age. At twelve years old he bought his very first turntables. In 2004, after enrolling in one of Montreal's best recording school, Recording Art Canada, Ian made a career out of his passion by working as a Sound Technician for various live bands getting many opportunities to DJ between them. "Boys Night Out", created by Ian himself in 2007, was the launch of his own unique Electro Tribal House sound.

It's with this sound and event that Ian stood out from the crowd and got to spin at some of Montreal's legendary venues like Stereobar & Parking Nightclub. Not forgetting local venues like Mile End, Complexe Sky, Saloon and many more. From then on, his talent and sound brings him to working with the BBCM Foundation, organizers of the Black & Blue Festival, with Beach Club and Le Drague in Quebec City. That same year, he is approached by Club Kid Productions which led to his Monthly Sunday Residency, and eventually get invited to Stéfane Lippé's last-saturday of the month and transform an already striving night, LippéSuction, into a night never to be missed, LippéSuction is the Key untill 2011 where he got his own night residency on thursday two times a month.
