IAN_X is the DJ production of Ian Summs based in Cape Town, South Africa. He draws on an eclectic blend of influences and love for the dance floor and its energy to craft musical journeys that rezonate future frequencies & calibrate you for immersive energetic performances.

IAN_X builds on many years producing, performing dance music & hosting underground dance music events in Cape Town & worldwide between 1995 & 2005.  The desire to create thru interfacing with machines and his environment.

Musically educated at Aufschwung Ost / Stammheim in Kassel, I moved to Berlin at the end of the last century, where I occasionally played some records here (wohlklang@nbi) and there for fun.
