Track 12 [on Defcon 100] is Ciro Visone - First Coming (Icedream remix).

Originally released in March 2013 this was another of Ciro's wonderful works on Defcon, ahead of his debut album release this year! The original was backed up with awesome remixes from Mr Carefull, Nicola Maddaloni, and Ian STANDERWICK.

Supported by Armin van Buuren at #ASOT600 and later featured on the Universal Religion 7 compilation later that summer, this proved to be one of Defcon's most successful releases to date!

To give it a brand new makeover we turned to the incredibly talented Icedream, who will be featuring many times on Defcon this year! He has given First Coming a brand new drive that has already seen Aly & Fila support on #FSOE329 \o/

What is it about trance music that makes us love this genre so much? We simply can't define it, but what we can do, is bring you more of these exquisite sounds that make your soul flicker with excitement. One of these sounds comes in form of a new Pulsar Recordings release by Existence called Rise Above. Once the melody gets in your mind it just won't let you go. The amazing gliding leads, magical pianos and uplifting beats all rise above the everyday troubles, making you forget it all in a split of a second.

The remix duty of the amazing original is handed to French Skies, whose mix starts with techy bassline and bright ringing bells, but after some time develops into driving uplifting trance track with a slightly different theme than the original giving it a great alternative choice.

Talents from all over the world are getting their chance to showcase their productions to a wider audience, now Pulsar Recordings is heading east to India, where the producers going by alias Aftermorning present us a stunning emotional and uplifting track called Superlative. The intro is really banging, but the breakdown, now this is why we enjoy this music the most. It features ethereal voices and pads, melodies that carry us away and uplifting drop that unifies the great experience.

The remix is done by a producer with whom we worked on the very start of our label, Dave Cold. He gave it a more professional touch to the already great original, introducing acid elements and making whole production tighter. The breakdown feels even more energized in this take, with accentuation on the piano melody. Eventually the leads take off resulting in a massive dropdown, carrying us until the very end.
