We have been big fans of this talented gentleman for several years, been never had the opportunity to connect until Art With Me festival in Miami where our brothers, Wild Dark, made an introduction. “Opening up Camp KISS’s Burning Man 2023 public offering on Monday night was a major highlight of my Burn. This was my second year in a row opening KISS's stage. We had just spent several days after the initial build week rain bringing the camp to life, and I wanted to set the tone and get our weeklong party started with high vibes. Smiles were on, dances got sweaty, and hugs were freely given. This also set the stage for my week, as it was the first of six sets I performed on playa. I really enjoyed this set and I hope you do too!”

Our Burning Man camp, Fauxliage, threw a party at DecoDance in San Francisco to raise some FUN (and also hopefully some funds) to help us do our thing on playa this year.  An excellent group of of lovely people made for a stupendous night of dancing and smiles.  Thanks for everyone who was there, and see you on playa!

This Saturday, September 29, we present The Brooklyn Mirage 2018 closing event, The Cityfox Experience: Transcend, a three-stage festival with 8 live acts and 10 DJs, friends and favorites both old and new, playing the highest of quality house and techno (bit.ly/Cityfox929).

The Romanian born, Berlin-based, Sandrino has crafted this delightful Foxcast as we countdown.

Driven by his passion for house music in all forms, Sandrino is most drawn to its deeper and melodic slants. In 2010, he met and formed a self-named duo with Frankey, producing tracks that landed on Innervisions and Kompakt, before they launched their own imprint, Sum Over Histories. He first played for Cityfox in 2016, immediately becoming a favorite, and gracing our decks each year since.

In this Foxcast, Sandrino adeptly builds the energy towards the finale (no pun intended), kicking off the mix with spacey, almost ambient atmospheres and subdued percussions but steadily working its way up. The subtle but consistent rhythms and synths intertwine, until we eventually wonder when the journey ensnared to a trancelike state of introspection. Melodies pair with thick harmonies giving way to raw, stripped-down dance floor-centric tracks, peaking in the latter half with a surge of energy, beautifully demonstrating Sandrino’s range in a mere 60 minutes, before closing out with a splash of electropop - the things dreams are made of.

My mission in life is to spread love of music.  I'm passionate about making, finding and sharing music that moves me.

Dallas Kashuba has been a DJ and music producer for over 25 years.  His eclectic musical journey of punk rock singer in the early 90s, DJ in the LA rave scene in the late 90s, live electronica band in the 00s, and then playing synths and electronics with a San Francisco psychedelic rock band in the 10s illustrates his diverse influences and skills.  In recent years he’s DJ’d and provided musical direction for the Sanctuary art car in Black Rock City, and appears regularly behind the decks in San Francisco.  His music draws from his wide range of musical experiences, flows seamlessly from one style to another, and you never know what’s coming next.

Inpirations in rough time order: thrash metal, hardcore punk, punk rock, industrial, IDM, breakbeat, drum & bass, indie rock, house, techno, tech house, post rock, indie dance, nu disco
